This is the thing, whilst the angrier/angstier sort of lyrics would speak better to me. He's proven with an album like TDTH that he doesn't need to write angry or angsty songs to write really great lyrics still. He just, doesn't..

YEs totally agree, TDTH was as good as Ed's writing ever was. Now it's in another direction/genre/whatever.

I am glad I have my real rock n roll elsewhere.

I think I threw up in my mouth a bit after reading those lyrics! tongue2.gif

...That being said though I still really like this song! Shouldve included it on the album as Track #8 and scrapped In Your Light. Ed always seems to pick songs for his albums that not as good as the bsides!

Lyrics are a bit off for my taste but this song is a good song overall. One of the few tracks that have a unique sound on the album. Shame not everyone will hear it since its a bonus track. Its a good song though.

I'm not a huge fan of the lyrics, but I'm a person who hears the sound of the song first and don't concern myself as much about the lyrics.

I can see where people would hate this album, but like I said I really enjoy it a lot.

The way the lyrics are put up is slightly leaning. I treat the "Lords" like commas in his writing.

This song should actually look like this:

All the other lords like the "I believe in you lord" are true though... angry.gif

The song started off so well too... girl talking about the end of the world... ed not watching the news... It sounded a little like white discussion type talk but like fire on the mountain it went south fast.
