Ok, guys, not to flood Ray's topic, let's discuss workouts right here and maybe Ex will be able to give us all some advice.

I need some badly. Used to be a professional vollyball player, but after aninjury and fucked up doctors had to give up

used to be playing football each week, but now I hardly have any time to do that.

I need to shape myself a bit up. With my 198 height I weigh only 80 kgs. And feel vry well.

Is there any possibility of a workout for me?

Cross posted from Ray's thread:

Maybe Ex has some tips on this, i've put on a bit of weight around the mid section recently. I used to go to the gym semi-regularly, always been on the skinny side. Bulked up a little in upper body, would like to continue to do so but more concerned about my belly.
Main problem that's come up is a combo of the shitty job I have long hours constantly sitting, but the main thing is when I do cardio stuff now I'm giving up due to pain in my knees before I'm getting exhausted so I'm not getting proper work outs in. I've done treadmil, air walkers and bike in the gym. The air walker is supposed to be the easy one on your knees but I've found that's actually been the most painful. The bike is by far the least painful, but even with a high level and a good 30min or so work out on it it just doesn't feel like it's doing anything .. building good leg strength but not losing the weight where I want it.

The pain in my knees is annoying because no one can quite give me a straight answer as to where it's coming from, I've had medical professionals tell me it's starting from my feet, others say from my hips. They're shit knees, and for me to stand with them facing straight I cant stand with my feet together, my feet have to be at an outward pointed angle. Standing with my feet together is painful on my knees.

Very frustrating when you want to work out and it puts you off. I've just been focusing more on my upper body and weights instead because theres no trouble there.
Also what sort of diet type would you reccomend for the absolute fastest loss of belly weight? Would like to lose a bit before I hit America. It sort of just came up out of the blue because I've been so skinny my life.

They're hell on the back.

Sonic brought up that they are good for your abs, but I'm not so concerned about that, you need to get rid of the fat for the abs to show through sad.gif

Aw, I thought it was something with sitting down and standing up lol.gif Here you go with the language gap.

Sure, sit-up is the best, no question about that. When I was busy with me belly, I used to do 80 of them, have a 10 minute rest, grab some weight, do another 50, have a 20 minute rest and do another 30. Helped hell of a lot.

Football 2 hours non-stop turned out to be better option though

How hard this shit is now with having lunch at McDonalds during the day at work. Holy fuck

Tell me about it, I've changed my diet a bit recently, but hasnt made much difference. I eat a lot less junk then I used to though. Only about a year ago or so my metabolisim seemed to be so fast it'd get a medal, could eat and eat and it would just rip right through me, got a feeling that's decided to start changing now.

But yeah I guess I'm looking for the quickest way to get things moving again and shed the pounds, I'm not a "fat person" as such, its just my stomach, otherwise I'm still quite slim.

How's your beer intake? If you're a regular beer drinker well then it's time to cut that down. And no real secrets, just strengthening your stomach muscles and cardio. The more intense the faster you'll see results. Just don't over due it cause you might injure yourself. On that note I'm gonna go work out.

Beer intake has drastically decreased over I'd say the past 3-4 months, I probably only have a couple now maybe every second weekend I'd say. Saving to go overseas also played a part, less going out and having big drinking nights.

Yeah I figured the more cardio the better, but then that brings me back to my original problem of the cardio that I've been doing hasn't been too successful when I've had to give up before I've reached the point of being too exhausted just cos of pain. Probably a catch 22 as well, I'm sure the extra weight I've put on isn't great for my knees either, but need the knees functioning well to help get rid of it.

Beer? ain't soda as unhealthy in terms of callories?

BTW I nearly gave up drinking. About a year ago I could simply have a litre of Jack Daniels and in an hour polish it with 3-4 liters of Heineken. Now I am overlimited with only a couple of beer bottles once a week -two weeks.

Never thought I would start worrying about my health when I am 26 dammit.

Anyway, I had a sort of nervous disorder some time ago with panic attacks and hyperventilation and stuff like that. People said working out could help. Still a bit worried on that, that si why I am sasking for an advice

Beer is bad too. I haven't read too much into it, but from memory beer coupled with eating is really bad.

Soda/Soft Drinks are really bad and I need to give those up. Coke is probably the worst thing I'm putting in my body the most at the moment. I don't eat cakes or biscuits much, some chocolate bars, but the most of the bad stuff is soft drink .. I gues step one is that shit needs to stop.
