For any interested Pearl Jam fans, you can hear streaming versions of two NEW Pearl Jam songs off their new CD here:

(disregard the "live" and "acoustic" tags, they're obviously inaccurate)

My friend sent me the album a couple nights ago. It's simply amazing.

Honestly, I was satisfied with SFBM...until I heard Pearl Jam. After hearing the entire thing, I sat back and thought "damn--why doesn't LIVE write like this anymore?" Wait till you hear the last track, Inside Job. It's seven minutes of pure brilliance.

I totally agree with you here. I was listening to SFBM for a three days straight, and overall enjoying it, and then I downloaded the new Pearl Jam. Since then I haven't so much as thought about SFBM, and have been on a total Pearl Jam high. This could definitely be the defining moment of their career, an album that is as intense, heartfelt, powerful, and relevant as anything I have heard in a long, long time.

I agree, "Inside Job" is genius. It's probably my favorite track off the moment, although I'm also blown away by Comatose, Severed Hand, and strangely, Parachutes.

I got a copy of the new album last week and it's awesome! The only Pearl Jam albums I have are "Ten" and the greatest hits cd's, but I'll definately be buying this one.

I have Ten, Vitalogy, Yield and Live on Two Legs, all excellent CD's. I used to have my old roomie's copy of rearviewmirror ripped, but lost it when I formatted and forgot to back it up. I can always download it again, though. But yeah, I'll definitely be adding this to the collection.

I already got the new CD. I wasn't too impressed with it. Maybe I need to listen to it again. I should have brought it to work with me. I'm bored. whistle.gif

I like some Pearl Jam songs but I cannot really get into this kind of music. Sonically, the album lacks variation; it is the same structure and grunge sound which make the new Pearl Jam album boring. On this basis, I prefer SFBM. Live is great is terms of the variation they offer to us.

I adore Inside Job. I love the entire album. It's been ages where I've actually liked a Pearl Jam album straight off. I don't really like the artwork on the inside though.

Are you serious? Have you even listened to the new album? If so, how can you possibly say that Worldwide Suicide, Parachutes, Gone, and Inside Job, to name a handful, have ANYWHERE near the same structure and sound??!!??
