Alright, now I'm getting pissed. I pre - ordered Alive from Ed's website. You would think that ordering it from the artist would get you the hook up.

I just read that there's a song called "A New World" that is not on the CD in the US, and I just checked I-Tunes, and if I ordered it from there the album would have a 12th track called Eat Your Love, which doesn't appear to be on the album either.

If anyone has "A New World" or "Eat Your Love" I would truely appreciate it if you took the time to send it my way.

If anyone does - thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the replies. "A New World" seems to be readily availible out there but nobody has "Eat Your Heart". If you stumble across this track please send it my way.

"Eat Your Heart" is a valid track. When you go to I-Tunes in the US you can pre-order the album. "Eat Your Heart" shows up as a 12th track. It appears that you will have to purchase the album on I-Tunes as a whole to get the track. Maybe it is a US I-Tunes exclusive.

Since I already bought the album, and paid shipping on top, I'm not going to buy it again for one track.

If you happen to get this track I'd appreciate it.

Well, I seem to recall that Live put out many versions of the same songs back in the day.

My singles collection is far from complete, but I have two (2) CD singles of "Selling the Drama": one with "bootleg" of TDAOC and STD, the other with boots of Operation Spirit and I Alone.
My 2 Lakini's Juice singles include Sam Sever remix of WD and Supernatural on one, and club mix or PLOTR and acoustic STD on the other.
I have 3 of Freaks: one with live version of Freaks & LJ; one with live version of Love My Way, and Labor, Labor, Labor Remix of Freaks; and the third has LJ and Freaks live plus Love My Way live and LJ (full on mix)

I could go on but I think you get my point.

This seems to be another case of double standard.

If I am correct, those singles were made availible in different countries. I don't think the intention was to sell multiple singles to people. I'm assuming you gained access to them all due to international trade and shipping.

Just because Live did it a lot too doesn't make it right...

Well, it's not that it's not right, just that I always thought it was always a bit cheeky.

Will the US bonus track, Eat Your Love, be on my album that I ordered directly from the artist? If it's only on I-Tunes that's straight up bullshit!

I'm pretty sure that is standard for most albums released on Itunes to include a bonus track not on the actual CD.

I'm sure after tomorrow "Eat Your Love" will become easily accessible to those who want it.

I just bought the new Stone Temple Pilots CD. There are no extra songs on I-Tunes, so no, it is not a standard.

In addition, I can see maybe doing that with something in the store, but again, when you buy it directly from the artist, it should never be missing any bonus tracks.

Why the hell would I ever buy it from Ed again if he's going to short me on tunes if I don't get it from I-Tunes?

Maybe standard was the wrong word, but it is a fairly common occurence.

It's still pretty shitty that to get that 1 extra track you gotta download the whole album .. this isn't just an Ed thing, but sucks with heaps of artists, and you wonder why people download music for free...

I'd love to just once hear you say "yeah that was pretty shitty of Ed to do" ... it'd be like that moment of realisation in Predator "If it bleeds, then we can kill it!".
