People have to stop dissecting every single quote or comment they see. And this goes to interviews with Ed also. Maybe Ed's a prick and Kevin's a condenscending ass. Well, good for them. As been said when people have defending C, C, and P it's just rock and roll and that goes for lead singer's egos also. There is a reason they have them more than the other members and that's because the attention is always on them. But by nitpicking every interview they see from Ed or Kevin or whoever, you can always intrepret it anyway you want based on what your opinion is.

If we were in 1998, yeah I'd agree with you. Ed has lost a ton of respect. The majority of his fans turned on him. His voice isn't nearly as good as it once was. His writing has fallen off to the point where he's a shell of his former self. If anything, Kevin's voice has grown and become better. He's a more varied musician now, and a better writer. Kevin has also had quite a few countless "side projects", which have garnered respect.

Kevin Martin hasn't fronted a successful music project since the first Candlebox album. The average person has no idea about any of Kevin Martin's side projects.

Ed Kowalczyk, while not as popular as he once was, still has a strong following overseas. The #4 album in Holland is a great accomplishment, once that Kevin Martin can only dream of. Live was a much more successful band than Candlebox ever was, therefore Ed K. is a much more successful frontman than Kevin Martin is.

It would actually be good for you. You would finally be able to actually experience real rock music, and not bubble gum jesus pop. Plus you'd be able to see a true charismatic front man and not a fake front man.

Jesus christ Nick, stfu. There was no fucking condescending tone from Kevin, he was stating how he is different to Ed when performing. Ed is a more "inwards" performer, it's just a fact. That's not a shot, it's just how he is. He gets up there and does his job, and goes. Kevin talks to the crowd, he doesn't talk AT the crowd like Ed does. If you can't handle that well jesus...

This god damn vendetta that you're on where you see everything as a shot against you one and true God Ed is just reaching pathetic levels. It's like one of those dictator run countries where if you're caught saying anything bad about the leader you're taken out and shot. i did listen to the audio.. the only place it was shot was in your own head. I think the contrast between the two frontmen is a valid comparison.. and he simply explained how he approaches his job..

In the interview Kevin wasn't asked how his style differed from Ed's. He brought the comparision up all himself, and made a point tp explain how he was better performer.

I'd love for him to try that at a show that I'm at. There was some jackass at the Fat Daddys show that kept yelling during Adam Taylor's set. At one point he looks at us and asked which one of us was going to kick that guy's ass. I told him if he tries that during TGF, I'd be the guy to step up.

So what if he brought up the comparison, it makes sense to compare himself to Ed. Who else would he compare himself to? Ed is his direct opposite in this situation, the same as Ramy is Gracey's opposite and so on. When did he say he was a BETTER performer? jesus christ you're twisted, he explained how he was DIFFERENT.

Nick wouldn't go to heckle, he'd just sit in a corner and have a really sour look on his face drinking water through a straw or something. He'd be watching the crowd more, waiting for someone to yawn or something and take a picture of it here and post it as "proof" that TGF is boring their fans. We'd argue that the person yawning probably had a long day at work and got up at 6am and the time the photo was taken was 10:30pm and he had no point. Nick would then ignore the rest of the thread. Or something..
