Somewhere in between. Some songs are catchy but the lyrics just make me sick. I can't even listen to Drive.

Considering what he's tried to do, I think it's somewhere in between. Not altogether completely awful, but not especially great.

I think you guys are trying to be nice here.

Based on the multiple reviews and feedback in the other thread, it sounds like most of you hate it. Be honest here guys.

If you are leaning more towards "it sucks" than "it's great", then vote for it.

It sucks.

It sucks because it was put out by Ed Kowalczyk. Despite the allegations against treatment of fans, the man is definitely talented and capable of so much more.

If Daughtry or someone else had made the album, I'd give it higher marks.

It does contain melodies that get stuck in your head, Ed has always been good at those, but then again most people have the McDonalds "I'm loving it" melody stuck in their head after hearing it. That is hardly an attribute of quality.

The biggest turn offs, for me, is the over-the-top direction towards pop versus rock AND the strong pro-Christian overtones. Which is against what Ed stood for when most of us fell in love with his music.

Yeah, I am trying to be nice. I listened to it again and warmed to a few other songs so I won't say it totally sucks because - no matter what anyone else says - I actually really dig Grace and Zion. Especially Zion.

First impressions were much worse. It's still not very good, but I like a few songs, and I'm sure some others will like the soft easy going musical nature. So all considered, it's probably somewhere in between.

That is fair. You are giving your honest opinion and thoughts.

And man Purdue, you completely stole my thunder. Although I think most of us have been saying what you have just said for about 7-8 years now.

Your example of the McDonald's "ba da da da daaaaa, I'm lovin' it" is great. I have that shit stuck in head all the time. I'll be taking a piss at a stall and whistle it for no apparent reason.

Nick, I think the ratio will be about the same come the 7th. I wouldn't be surprised if we see maybe 5 votes for "It's great!" to 100 votes "It sucks."

Would anyone of you be surprised?
