Ed's lyrics of that era dealt with reality of people and society, today his shit is based on fantasy / feelings and selling out to make a buck.

Just wanted to give a collective "you're welcome" to everyone. I was just happy to be able to contribute something besides my sarcacstic remarks for once lol.gif , but seeing how much everyone enjoyed this has really made me happy. Listening to this show always brings back such good memories for me, hope it does the same for others.

Thanks so much Donno. I appreciate it. Downloading now. If there is anything I can pass your way, let me know, I'll see if I have it.

Thanks OTD, I'll be getting back w/ ya, I appreciate it.

QUOTE(Pokey @ Jun 28 2010, 2:21 am) *

many many thanks!

Nick you should download this one and hear why the bulk of us fell in love with Live and why Ed's work now really isn't doing it for us compared to the amazing talent he had!

You said it Pokey...those were good times back than!

We might seem like a bunch of bickering bastards, but it's posts like these that is what this board is and was about. fans of Live, and to me THIS is Live. This is the one thing we should all have in common, putting on a bootleg like this and just enjoying the fuck out of it from start to finish. Ed taking over the writing credits from 2001 onwards or so isn't Live, it's a bastardised version of it which held together for a few years to produce moments of awesomeness, but then went completely off the rails around 2005.

Live was about 4 guys from York PA coming together and writing awesome music and playing awesome shows and this is just a fine example of it, much thanks again Donno!

If anyone listens to this boot and doesn't understand why we're so pissed off about Ed's direction, then they have to be deaf.

Could be Burd haha She's quite proud of her scream making it so prominently on the MTV unplugged sessions haha

Once again I ask, has Nick downloaded and listend to this? For someone that was such a massive fan of LIVE that he bought this website, he never has anything to say when gems like this are posted. Does he care? Does like even like this?

They didn't play Love Shines, so I doubt he even glimpsed at it.

Pokey, once again you nailed it with your words. The fact that they were childhood friends and all original members I think added to what attracted a lot of us to them as well. They seemed like guys from your town that you could relate to and would have a drink with you. It hit me it was on the way down when I saw the V tour (hate that fucking disc) and I had to sit through Call Me A Fool, and Overcome was the encore, come on man, the encore. I about threw up in my mouth, and it wasn't from the awful, warm beer at Pier 6. That and Ed's little ecstacy phase changed him. And yes boys and girls, it is 100% true. I'm not going to go into how I can tell you this, and you can choose not to believe it, or trash me all you want for not telling you how I know. I know that's a big claim to make and not provide evidence, but there's some things you're going to keep to yourself and not post for the world to see, it could come back to bite me in the ass very seriously. I can tell you the ecstacy stuff is a fact. I thought they rebounded nice on the BOP tour...but than I saw the small tour they did before SFBM and Ed's teen beat, prancing, little gay boy dance moves and I could see the end was near. The guys looked embarassed to be on the same stage at times during his High School Musical try out.
