I've noticed that just about every station that's playing The River is playing it only overnight. And looking at Allaccess.com, I see it has a lot of overnight spins, but very few day spins. I don't think Heaven started out this way; I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing. If it doesn't get a response from overnight listeners, I think it'll fade away.

It's a good song, it's just the lyrics that might scare the stations from playing it. .."your kiss makes me tremble" .. change a few of the lyrics and it would already be getting heavy rotation during the day.

LIVE debuts at #40 on the RadioandRecords.com HOT A/C chart. Heaven topped out at #2, we need the River to reach #1. It will be a long climb, but the journey is just beginning!

That's good to know. Come to think of it, most songs on there did take a long time to become a hit. The songs on heavy rotation are the songs I initially thought were a flop. Maybe in 2 years from now, we'll be hearing the 2nd single in heavy rotation...seriously.

My local radio station said that Epic hasn't started the major push for the Live song yet. I guess this means that they are going the slow add route for the song. I don't get how radio companies work.....it is way too hard to figure.

I don't think there were any new Hot A/C adds this week. But I know they are playing "The River" on G-Rock Radio in NJ. That is a NJ shore station and is either 106.3 or 98.3? depending what part of NJ you are from. They are a very friendly station, if you request the song, they will very likely play it.

The River is inching it's way up the HOT AC Radio airplay charts. At this rate it will hit #1 by November!

Nick, did you email or talk to someone from Epic? Do you know for sure if they're just waiting for the push to get Live in heavy rotation? Or is this just speculation? I'm hoping it's a big hit, so we can get a 2nd single later on.

I spoke to Mr. Music from WPLJ.com. He said he has nothing to do with station adds, but he knows that Epic hasn't started their big push for adds on the song yet. I can't see the label not pushing this song to be a hit. Why waste their money signing Live if they weren't going to try to maximize capitol gain on the investment? Just my thought....

Not good news for a first single at all. Seems like its not getting much airplay at all.
