I remember that!!! But didn't Counting Crows open up for Live? That show was a little foggy...damn rum!!

I know the second time I saw them at the Arts Center, Live opened up for Counting Crows. I'm pretty sure it was that way the first time I saw them as well. I remember wishing it had been the other way around because of how slow and plodding the CC show seemed in comparison after the energy-fest that was the Live show. I like some of the Counting Crows music, but much of it just puts me to sleep.

June 2009, Virgin Music Festival in Montreal. Jesse McCartney played before they did so I had to cling to the bar and get crushed by a billion teenage girls. It was worth it though. I made a banner and everything.

There were a few small groups of Live fans there but for the most part no one knew who they were.

Rockfest 1999 Atlanta, GA. I was there with friends and wasent even a LIVE fan then. Saw alot of great bands that day but when that first song started (Where Fishes Go) started and Ed came out in a top hat and a cane I was hooked immediately! I was 19 then and it was a crazy and fun time in my life. I also remember Ed inviting girls up on stage during Lakinis Juice and one taking her bra off and throwing it at him as he was singing "such a dirty habit" ! It was an incredible show. I would go on to see them 16 more times in 4 different states after that and went straight out and bought MJ and SS that Monday. I already had TC and couldnt wait for TDTH to come out that fall! I miss those days! nod.gif

Beacon,

I was at that show! Great memories. They put on the best show by far. Collective Soul was pretty good as well. I remember being shocked at how bad Everlast sounded in person.

I've seen LIVE around 10 times in three different states.

That makes 3 of us. Anyone have that old crappy recording of that show? I thought I did, but cant seem to find it.

Good show. The venue, however, was not my favorite.

It was def. the Throwing Copper tour...I remember the tee I bought from that concert. They were there again with the Counting Crows after the 95 concert...maybe 96 or 97? I'd have to look at my ticket stubs.

I'm pretty sure the CC/Live thing was in '99 because that was when I started going to tons of shows and I saw that one twice. I was lucky and I got to see one of the shows in Hershey where Live got to headline. I think it was of the few times during that tour that they did. I thought it was a fun show I even enjoyed Counting Crows.

I will never forget that whole top hat and cane thing! It slayed me! rockin.gif

This is a fun thread. Remembering all of our first shows. We should start one about which one was our favorite and why! That would be really hard for me to choose!

It wouldn't be me!! I would have gone all the way to the West Coast to see them but my friend didn't want to! The farthest for me is Florida.
