Ok first of all, I was just given a link to this thread, on page 11. This is the 1st thing I saw:

And I personally like Ed's new music. But people keep comparing Ed's new stuff to classic Live, and it really isn't fair. New work has to stand on its own.

New work has to stand on its own. EXACTLY. What the FUCK has Ed done that's new? Two songs? Three? Maybe four or five? I can promise you I haven't listened to any of them but I would be willing to bet my D-cups if you broke down the structure of the songs they are all the same. I also bet Ed will have decent commercial success in the same way that the Goo Goo Dolls have. HUGE radio success based on the same fucking song recorded with about 40 different sets of lyrics to fill 4 albums or whatever the fuck the stats on that assband are. [Editor's Note: "commercial success" is NOT something this author has any respect for. In fact, it makes her quite sick. Originality and artistry are key components of a musician's soul. Album sales are nice, but fuck them. Fuck them in the neck. The neck around which hangs a stupidass homemade necklace sold to idiots for $100.]

And now, secondly, don't you dare criticize my Taylor. Read ANY ... ANYYYYYYYY ... of the 80 million interviews he's done since 1992 and find the part where they ALL ... ALLLLLLLLL ... ask him why he doesn't have any solos. His instinct response is "I'm not a solo guy". Rock songs don't NEED solos. What Rock Songs for Dummies book are you fucking reading? Do us all a favor and fucking burn it. Taylor has never done solos. LIVE has never needed solos. The songs were carried on satin pillows by the music they created. Have you ever over-seasoned a meal you were cooking? Adding solos to most LIVE songs would have taken away & distracted from what was already there. Introducing a new guitar player to his new project, who happens to play solos, does not now, nor will it ever mean he has 'demoted' himself. GET OVER IT. Stop looking up big-boy words and trying to force them into an insult. The more you do that, the less respect people here have for you. And let me tell ya - the reserves are running low.
