Thank you.

The music is exactly the same, the vocals come off flat. That said, it is good that they are covering a Live song in their set.

We've already discussed how bad ass their version of Lakini's Juice was, but how about their version of Far Behind. I think its a pretty damn cool, and original take on the song.

Yeah, Far Behind has long been one of my favorite songs. And the new spin they put on it was great! Still wasn't quite the "lost my mind" moment that Likini's Juice was. bounce.gif

I'm beyond happy that I got to see them again so soon at Webster's Hall in NYC. Not quite as long a commute as the trip to York was. thumbsup.gif

In case any of you are wondering, the pic in my Avatar is the one I took of the Webster Hall in NYC set list. I actually took one of the copies home with me, complete with tuning notes for the various songs.

It was interesting to note the differences in the performance going from their first live performance to their third. No Live or Candlebox songs in the set. None needed. Appetite, which I guess I don't have to mention is my early favorite, makes for a kickass opener. And Sing is definitely a closing anthem type song.

I did recognize a few people from the crowd at Fat Daddy's.

Great to be able to hear some of Adam's material. thumbsup.gif

The chatter is annoying, but you get that when you're a support act armed with just an acoustic guitar.

I'd like to congratulate the idiot that says this little gem during the intro to "Silly Things".
"Pain Lies On the Riverside! Its a Live song. Pain Lies On the Riverside!"
Face palm guy, face palm. I also don't care that you're going to go see Shinedown and Avenged Sevenfold and a mix of other crappy bands.

I was going to make a snide remark or six about that dumbass but I didn't know if he was one of the recorders or a friend of the recorders. Don't want to make those guys unhappy!

The music is not identical. The rhythm and syncopation are different in the verses, as well as a solo between the first and second verse. Listen to the LJ off of SS. Gracey accents the muted portion of the riff in the CD version of LJ, in this he accents the second (I believe) down stroke. The drumming is also heavier and more "straight ahead" for lack of a better term. I'm sure I'm using incorrect terminology, but I'm sure FRC could help me out. Regardless, it's not the same, the drumming alone is obvious.

Dan, you can listen to his tunes at Myspace and be able to get a free link to his EP over there if I remember correctly

I just posted the following on TGF's Facebook page...

QUOTE
I know its asking alot here, but you guys really need to get into a studio and get your re-imagined version of "Far Behind" recorded. It's one hell of a version, and the fans would get a kick out of hearing a studio version of it.

Here's hoping that I get some type of a response.
