So there is 11 songs????? I though the album had 12 tracks:huh: I am going to wait and buy the album instead of sampling it on the internet. I get more joy out of first hearing the songs in full and the entire album.

Zion and Grace best Drive, for me. But Drive's hook is better than most others, or so it sounds from the clips.

You mean the hook from the Kelly Clarkson song? smile.gif

Soul Whispers is a nice tune. I still think Zion & Grace are the best tracks.

Soul Whispers sounds like a rip off name of a Lindsey Buckingham solo album tune (Soul Drifter) from the 90's.

I wont bash......the album is too contemporary for me.

I agree, but I personally would put the song on the Christian Contemporary format ASAP.

Yea, it'd do really well there, I think.

The first time I listened I didn't even notice the change over from Soul Whispers to Fire on the Mountain...

That pretty much says it all, no songs that really stand out... just my opinion.

In my opinion, that's a good thing. Those are the only 2 songs I listened to twice. If it sounds like one long song, that's the one I'd want to listen to on repeat.

Overall, I'm not impressed with what I'm hearing in these samples. They all remind me of "All I Need" and "You are not Alone", the 2 most forgettable songs on SFBM. At least the last 2 songs sound good!

Never fair to give a review from amazon snippets, but I'll give one for what it's worth

First impression...yawn *dissapointed*

It's sounds like an epic step down from SFBM...which is saying something.

I like Grace

Perhaps, it is better that SFBM but i think that SFBM had worse and better songs. Show, Sofia and Night of Nights are better than any Alive songs including Grace and Zion.

I find it to be more bland than much of SFBM and thus less offensive. When SFBM succeeded it was pretty good, but when it failed, it failed epically.

The only song I've heard that I thought approached epic fail was "The Great Beyond."

Before anyone jumps on anyone about judging the album by these clips, Ed hasn't shown any ability in recent writing to make things interesting. When you hear a verse and a chorus you hear nearly the entire song, except for the bridge.

I'd love to be surprised.

A New World is the bonus track on Netherlands Itunes. Pretty rocking song, I hope we can get it in the US as well.

From what I can tell by these samples, this Album is going to suck! Seems like it will be the worse thing he's ever put his name on. Worse than SFBM and worse than V. Probably worse than the poser-rap shit he put on David Banner's or whoever the hell rapper's album he appeared on.

I haven't been all that out spoken against Ed. I disapprove of his alleged actions and even though I think Live's quality has taken a nose-dive after TDTH, likely due to Ed's direction, I still think they stuff that they put out since then "V, BOP and even SFBM" were still decent music, just sucked in comparison to the greatness that was TDTH and earlier.

This new album, from what I can tell, has more songs that I won't even be able to tolerate than I could, which is bad.

I understand EdKo has gotten older, his wordly views and all of that has changed. That's fine. I've changed during the past 20 years as well, which is why I can tolerate the lower quality stuff from the band I love, but Ed on "Alive" just isn't it. It's actually worse than what I imagined. Maybe the full versions will change my mind, but seems unlikely. At least he put Zion on there!!

To be honest, I feel like I became a better songwriter than Ed 2010... And I can't believe I fucking stopped listening to the TGF Fat Daddy's bootleg to hear such crap.
