I am the weird one who thinks that V was better than BoP and on par with TDTH. They both have the same amount of songs that can be enjoyed on them.

You see, V was the fun album. Here are the main tones of the albums.

MJ - Eastern philosophy
TC - Eastern philosophy meets anti-christian angst
SS - dark broodings that come with first fame + leftover TC era stuff.
TDTH - everybody's happy! Let's write quasi-religious stuff that all sounds similar!
V - We want money (turns on MTV) I bet we could do that. What could possibly go wrong?
BoP - After the last album, we wanna make another TC even if we have to pretend
SFBM - I wanna make out with u lord jeesus!

V was an experiment and I think it was fun. I definitely would not trade V for BoP or SFBM because V is throwing off all the seriousness that made Live who they were. I liked to see a different side of them and V could provide.

The V demo was much better than the over produced commercial CD.

You seem to have it?

I downloaded 'V' about a month before it was released - it was titled 'Ecstatic Fanatic' - the only difference is the version of FMNBLE which is the middle-eastern version.

Also, it does not include the extra remixed version of Deep Enough like the CD does.

I could upload it, although it is largely the same version as the cd.

I also voted for V because, whilst not on the same level as the previous albums, I admire the explosion of energy and diversity - even if it was misguided. The album has a fair bit of kick to it, and I do think it has some decent tracks. And SFBM is too bland for me. So I go for V. smile.gif

I agree Aitkens....I do like the track of that song but those lyrics are some of the worst ever written by Ed.
Deep Enough track & Simple Creed are decent....the rest is a barf bag

I remember the first time I heard a bootleg of Deep Enough. I could hear the music, but I couldn't make out any of the words. I kept thinking, "wow this song is going to be fucking amazing." Needless to say I was disappointed when I heard those lyrics.

Yeah I liked the early concert versions, very very rock n roll and hard driving even though we have railo jisming all over it.

Just spun V on my way to work.

Once again, I was trying to remember that lyrics were bad, that the music did not match the gap of the early recordings...

fuck that.

It is an awesome record. I enjoy every second of it. It does indeed bring back memories and some songs are just fucking top
