I guess people tend to pick the lead singer who will actually talk to them, because Adam isn't quite on Ed's level as a performer.

I like Adam, but I'm with you on this one. Ed is a better singer, songwriter and performer...hands down

Can't vote for either. They both make me very, very happy. (BTW, SFBM finally arrived from Amazon.de -- God Bless the Internet!)

Where can you get "Looking Up From the Ground"?? You can only buy "The Dream" now!

We asked Adam this when he played in Utrecht two weeks back. He said he was going to add it to his site soon, but he first wanted "to make some changes to it"(?) (don't ask, for some reason we didn't ask what he meant by that! blush.gif )

But I think you can buy it over here too!

I don't even have SFBM yet - no downloads - didn't stick around to hear it after the Ed-solo show last week - but I voted for Adam. Lyrically, I'm more on the same page as Adam than I am of Ed. AND I'm not really a big fan of the arrangements of Adam's songs on the CD. His live shows are 10,000 times better than the recordings.

I agree that lryics on The Dream surpass anything on SFBM for me.

As for Adam not being anywhere close to Ed, that's a joke. I've seen both Live and Adam perform live at least 20 times each and I can tell you that Adam puts his heart and soul into every performance. His live voice is amazing and he truly loves what he does and has a real passion for it. I haven't seen anything like that coming from Ed in a long time.

The Dream represents every single thing that I love about music. It's real, it's from the heart, it's raw and it moves me. He doesn't make music to sell records or make money, he does it because he loves to and he feels like he HAS to share it with people. I haven't been able to say that about Live's work in a very long time either.

Here's a little quote from the song The Dream that pretty much sums it up for me:

"I don't need your money, don't need attention
Don't need starry eyes or fancy types
I've got the dream."

As I always say, everyone has their own tastes an opinions and I truly believe that The Dream is better and guess what, I'm allowed to.

I agree that Adam has great passion for what he does. However, if you watched Ed perform his new material, you could see passion coming out of every pore of the man. They both love what they are doing. Ed is just a better front man, plain and simple. He's more experienced and can work a crowd much better than Adam. Its experience. Ed has it, Adam does not.

I've only seen Adam perform once, so I'm probably not the right person to judge; but I agree with you! Adam just struck me as being kinda shy. Maybe that had something to do with him being all alone there on stage, with just his guitar and maybe he acts different when there's a whole band around him. But I think you can count the times he actually looked at the crowd during that 1,5 hour performance in Stairway to Heaven on two hands... But then again, maybe Ed acts the same way during his acoustic solo performances (I don't know, I've never seen any of those live).
