I agree with this. I think a lot of this could probably have been avoided if Ed did some solo albums and the other guys worked on some side projects, rather them just doing Live and Live only for 20 years.

This is part of my point about the 'ultimatum.' Maybe Ed was about to do the solo thing, and the guys just didnt want to see it happen. Thus pretty much turning Live into Ed's solo project.

Yes, since Ed has made no statement, let's just make up his side of the story for him.

Yeah but Ed couldn't even stick to the "ultimatum". That is the point.

I wish the guys would have just let him go back then but they had good reasons.

Man...i am sorry but I feel that you are stuck on stupid! Sorry again! lol.gif

Sides of the story are of on consequence to any of us. He said, she said, yadda yadda yadda, at the end of the day its not our business. We can speculate until we're blue in the face, but we're still never going to know exactly what happened and why.

Our business is to buy their music, attend the shows, buy merchandise, etc. The things that make them money, which in turn lead to contract negotiations, which pay their bills, and turn the whole thing into a BUSINESS.

You are talking to someone who gets a decided portion of their income from music.

If music is all about money to you then that is fine, but that doesn't mean it is for everyone else (musician or not).

Oh, its certainly not all about money. I'd never argue that. But when money is involved, you dont just ignore it.

What do you do/play/etc?

But, band business is still a different animal from normal business, so analogies about it don't really work.

I am all across the board - professional playing, band management, booking for venues, and more recently, recording and production.

Nick......(your attorney like way to dumb down the details is maddening.)

Section 29 also states....

Although the Plaintiffs were shocked by this ultimatum, they acquiesced to Kowalczyk’s
demand, both out of respect for their decades-long friendship with Kowalczyk, and because the
Plaintiffs placed a high value on keeping the classic lineup of LIVE together, after the many
years of hard work they had put into building up the band’s following and reputation.

Thank You!
