The funny thing is that it is less about what actually happend now and more umm .. well, it's kind of like an intervention now for Nick.

Yeah, I noticed that. Have fun with it... if you possibly can.

True, he just dodges parts in posts where he is owned and focuses on the bits he can deflect. I thought it was a good point that was brought up earlier about making defensive arguments rather than supportive ones, that's pretty accurate.

You still never answered my question .. if you were in Ed's position, would you have signed that contract and not told your 3 friends of 20+ years?

I honestly don't know because I wasn't in that situation. Ed wrote the songs and to me it seems fair for him to take credit for material he 100 percent created.

I do know that when Songs from Black Mountain didn't sell as many albums as they had hoped, they were very quick to past the buck onto Ed(which is fine). However, you can not then turn around and demand to take credit for the publishing rights to songs that you didn't have any hand in creating in the first place.

Chappelle rules! Nicks argument seems to be more of, TGF sucks. What about the secret contract? TGF sucks. What about SFBM? TGF sucks. What about Ed's drummer? TGF sucks. What about Ed's bowel movement? TGF sucks. What about the oil spill? TGF sucks. What about poverty? TGF sucks.

This......they weren't allowed to write.....their musical pieces were also done for them. They went along with it hoping Ed would get it out of his system.

Do you have the right to be pissed that your friend of 20+ years didn't tell about about contracts signed regarding the band that you are all in together?

Man if any Candlebox fans decide to check this place out to see what "the other side" is like they must be horrified to see what sort of fans they're going to be sharing with haha. When TGF comes together it's like parents from previous marraiges getting together and the fans are the children come from those previous marraiges. The Candlebox kids are quite normal and uneffected by their parents break up (ok so Candlebox havent split) and the Live kids are a complete train wreck from the divorce.

It IS fair if the band agreed on it together, and they didn't, how do you not get that?

OutToDry your speculations are becoming ungrounded too, let's stick with what we know here.

Candlebox is still together (as you acknowledged) and it sucked when they broke up the first time, but it was a long time coming since members had come and gone. The community didn't take it well though, like most band communities.

I was more bummed when Candlebox split than I was when Live split, but out of it we got the Kevin Martin and the Hiwatts record, as well as a cool offering from the guitarist, so it all worked out in the end.

You can't say Ed wrote the album and blame him for it not performing to expectations, but then what credit on a publishing deal.

Chad Taylor and Chad Gracey have continually knocked SFBM in public. Why would they be willing to go to court and begin a costly fight for the publishing rights to those songs?

I havent made any claims other than what was given to us by chad & chad. I do agree that the other things i mentioned are purely conjecture....point taken.

It is fantastic, and I actually like it better than 2 of the 4 Candlebox records.

Some of it is similar to Candlebox but it has bit more of an edge to it. Here's the Amazon mp3 store link where you can hear some clips:
