You don't think it is possible Ed thought he was completely in his rights, as the only songwriter of certain songs, to sign a publishing deal regarding those specific tunes?

His "lifelong friends" openly mocked Ed behind his back onstage at HOB Cleveland this past year. There was some serious strain in their relationship that was building for quite some time.
