I reckon that even if this went to court and it was proved that without a shadow of a doubt that Ed was completely in the wrong and ripped off his bandmates and was made to pay X amount of money and whatever that Nick would still probably try and defend him with something like "Ed was probably made to sign an agreement confirming his guilt when in actual fact he's done nothing wrong". He's delusional.

I reckon I have a hell of a lot more manlove for Morrissey than Nick does for Ed, and even I'll admit that Moz can be a total ass and can treat people terribly. I can seperate the artist from the person. Nick just can't do that, it's more like obsession without love. He has an obsession with wanting Ed to succeed as well. I think Nick would probably find enjoyment out of watching Ed roll around in cash.

I responded to someone calling Ed spineless, by pointing out that the other 3 members of Live basically allowed Ed to control the band the past 10 years(seemingly against their will).

I will not TGF bash unprovoked. But if certain members continue to bash Ed, I think I am in my rights to respond. Especially since I'm not a moderator of this forum, just a member with the ability to post.

Listen, that .5 sec insert into the Zion video is basically an admission of what he thinks of his friends. It cannot be meant for anyone else. His basic stance that he doesn't acknowledge TGF is another lie. Best way to not deal with something is to ignore.

I dont think the Christianity theme has too much to do with the message of the song. Zion seems to be about being in a good place and having his enemies run from him. He could just be giving the finger to all his enemies in general, not specifically the guys.

In any case, if it was directed at his friends AKA Live, that doesn't mean his stance about not acknowledging TGF is necessarily a lie. The video came out right around the time of the so called breakup. He could have just flipped the bird at the time being and then turned his head, making his basic stance realistic. He seemed to not bring TGF up at any point on his own, shuts it down whenever it comes up.

He shuts it down because he's got to, otherwise it becomes front and center of his current work. Also, those who are implicated in wrong doing normally close their traps. I don't care, I really hope he makes a good contrition to become friends with his mates when time allows and he gives back what he stole.

"Spineless" was a poor choice of words to illustrate my point. I was trying to show the many incarnations of Ed, how he never really stayed true to a core value or ethos. So insert your own term. It takes big balls and a spine to be associated with claims of the nature he is."Allegedly" of course. His wavering and the need to be commercially accepted were the downfall of the writing and the band. Maybe someday he'll finally get what he's searching for.
