Nick, In my previous post. I didn't make a comment about Ed, I made a comment and asked a question about you. You failed to answer it, yet again, deflection and blame and bad mouthing something your simple mind knows nothing of. Dude, you're worse than any politician.

You always badmouth Ed, and I didn't badmouth Kevin in this instance, I said he is treating TGF like a side project(which he clearly is).

What was the question directed to me?

and you ignored my post about musicians doing multiple projects and still giving it 100%. Why are you ignoring my post. cause u know your a fucking douchebag tool that has no idea what creative people can achieve. You might be a douchebag that may or may not be washing da EK's feet ala Lakini's Juice video.
Fuck man 90% of the people here see through your unwavering bromance and zero idea of what music is yet you jsut go on and on. I trully hope your children are as dumb as you for if they ever see what you type they might as well call it a day (musically that is, i wish u and ur family all the best in real life bud)

No because the majority of side projects aren't successful. I think that no matter what TGF does, it will pale in comparison to what Kevin has already accomplished with Candlebox.

Touring with Candlebox before the album release, to me, shows a lack of commitment of Kevin to TGF long-term. Gracey talking about Live coming back with a new singer, does the same.

No, you clearly will make any argument no matter how ridiculous to try to minimize TGF and elevate Ed. That's realism.

such as? oh let me think...

Cream-not successful.. Emerson Lake and Palmer- not succesful, Bad Company-not successful.. Audioslave-- not successful, Velvet Revolver- not successful....

since you probably measure "success" by something like itune sales or billboard top 40, i wont include Chickenfoot or Them Crooked Vultures..

Go back and read it god dammit. I have lightened way up on Ed, I don't need to really bash him, everyone else does it so much better. You always weasel out of answering questions with misdirected sidebar. Your very question about my question is a perfect example. Others say the same thing, Saying Kevin is not focusing is simply a flat out lie. your head is in the sand again, pretending that you haven't heard the interviews and read the tgf facebook info to see they are active making this happen. I really think you don't understand the term multitasking. I know your education level is beyond high school, but your political like grandstanding on this board borders on sheer idiocy man.

Jesus christ dude, listen to Sonic here .. stop thinking in terms of money! It's all you do!

TGF is something that Kevin seems passionate about. Hell he even has talked of moving to Lancaster to set up shop closer to the majority of the TGF lads.
Yes, Candlebox is already established and will probably make him more money, at least in the short run. But god damnit that is not everything ... I can definitely see more than one TGF album happening.

People have given you examples of guys like Dave Grohl and hell Mike Patton is the perfect example. Faith No More is without a doubt his biggest money maker. He formed Mr Bungle BEFORE Faith No More, and all through the 80s and 90s whilst Faith No More was touring so too was Bungle, and he's always said Bungle was his number 1 choice. He just enjoyed it more. Faith No More split and he's gone on to god knows how many bands .. Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Lovage, Fantomas, his own solo work, and lots of collaborations ... Faith No More decided to reform and even whilst they've reformed he's gone off and done another band Mondo Cane. An artist isn't always bound by the group that makes them the most money. A true artist will always explore other avenues and musical directions for the sake of furthering their horizons.

Saying that Kevin is treating this as a side project is completely putting words in his mouth, you don't know how he feels. Right now if anything, it's all hands on TGF and the Candlebox summer dates are probably more seen as the side project of the moment because I'm sure he's more focused on getting TGF off the ground.

The way you view music and the music industry continues to just blow my mind, it must be absolute hell being you.

edit: Actually I hope Kevin comes back and posts here to tell you exactly how much passion he has for TGF only for you to tell him he's wrong.

Nah, he would just ignore it like he does whenever one of us points out flaws in his argument.

Wow.

Don't you consider Ed's solo work as a side project to his main band, Live?

Let me answer for nick. He would otherwise ignore every other good point people have made in this thread and he'll say:

there is a difference. Candlebox is not on hiatus whilst live is so his solo work can't be a side project because it is his only project. Or some bullshi like that. There now you'll have to counter all the other points in this thread nick!

Ed isn't touring with Live this summer, Kevin is touring with Candlebox. Totally different scenario.

Why don't you think that from this very year Candlebox is his side-project than?

TGF's album comes out late this summer. The tour starts this fall. Outside of a few select dates, and maybe a few interviews, TGF isn't doing much at all right now. In fact, their promotion team would be the ones working the most right now. That leads me to believe that Kevin would have time to do shows with Candlebox. It's called multi-tasking.
