You can't blame Ed for not posting that often... he is too busy sipping coffee, and thinking of ways to exploit his fans.

Actually Ed's been busy touring his butt off this past year and promoting his new album.

How many shows have TGF played since the being together for a year? 1 public, 1 private, with 2 more shows scheduled for the summer. No wonder why they have time to post on Facebook.

To be fair, TGF have not been together for a year. Its been more like half a year. (Dec 2009)
And the touring that ed did (the acoustic shows, then the Everlasting Arms tour) early on was not for his album- he too has recently toured for his album..

has Ed been busying touring- sure, i'll give you that.. but why the pot shot at TGF? and an unfair one at that- apples and oranges my friend.. or rather strawberry.gif vs yay.gif

lol always an excuse .. but thats true, it's a very good excuse .. if only they invented some way for people to be able to access the internet whilst they are on the go... you know something like a small personal computer that is compact enough to carry around. Or maybe some way to access the internet via your phone .. how cool would that be??

Anyways, I guess that's all in the future, as for now I guess with Ed being busy touring there is just no way he can be personal with the fans so he has to get you to do it for him.

He does post reguarly though. I don't think he should be expected to post tour dates, Alt Addiction voting, and other mundane details. I'm sure TGF has someone do that for them as well, just unnamed.

The number of excuses just boggles my mind. Seriously Ned, how much does Ed pay you to say these things?

Wow, the vitruol, the venom.......Ed's has the solo thing going for a long long time, plans, etc.

TGF has their mgt and themselves, most of the promoting has been by Chad, Chad, Pat, Sean & Kevin together.

Fire away! :-)

J

This is the last board dedicated just to Live's music, and many of us have been reading and posting here (and other boards) many years. The band's music headed south for many of us over the span of 10 years, something that many of us linked to Ed taking over the writing.

Then when the band split accusations were made that really fueled the fire and put people on certain sides.

Before the split there was already a divide between fans that liked the latest Live music and fans who hated it. The band split into two separate bands where one reflected the latest Live music (Ed K) and the other a return to a harder rock sound (TGF).

It isn't hard to figure out why there is a lot of discussion over who is better, will be more successful, etc. etc.

Seen it for many years. Still dont get it though. Been following these guys, and of course lurking on all the boards, since MJ was released. Damn I feel old now..

Seen Ed a couple times since the split. And cant wait for TGF to make a stop in Atlanta too. There's some great music ahead of us for sure!

Kind of agreed. Been following the board for 10+ years. Dont see the constant need for animosity towards one another, judgements on what kind of people each other are, and ripping on anyone who likes ed / tgf.

lol Ed has nick posting for him. Now that's a personalized service!! TGF at least do their own spruiking. Ed gets fanboys to do it for him.

...please

Each band has real management who work it out with them, and market the shit out of them.

Yea where is the thread on the new Live newsletter. That must have been another gracious favor from TGF to Ed.
