They are still taking pot-shots, I hope they do see the irony in the band name that they chose.

I hope you see the irony in your post.

They didn't have to take a shot at Ed in their response. Also, they regained a "loyal fan" who dropped them for 10 years. That is ironic in its own right.

Congrats on your baby though!

Also, what the hell is wrong with saying what they said if it's true? If Ed one day turned around and said "yeah the soft churchy SFBM stuff we did wasn't that great in hindsight" would that be ok? I'm sure everyone has done things they're not proud of, yourself included. And the ONLY reason you hate them saying this stuff in a public forum is because it could hurt Ed's sales. Which it won't, but in your twisted world where that's all that matters..

More reinforcement of the arguement from TGF themselves. (Facebook reply to a fan liking the new gig)

The Gracious Few That "soft, churchy sound" is exactly what led us here my friend. Thanks for coming along on the new ride. ROCK ON!

I think the response by the TGF is refreshing. Whether right or wrong, it is honest and exactly what they feel. There is no consulting agents, PR, marketing, etc...as I believe Ed would do. They are dealing with an obvious hurt, hate, loss and letting it flow. Ed's total dismissal of TGF is disingenuous at best.

Jesus Christ quit being so protective of Ed.

Please don't refer to "he who has disturbing man-love" as Nick anymore. I saw he legally changed his name to..... Da Nic K

Seriously dude, ease up. I never thought I'd see a worse case of man-love than John Madden has for Brett Favre, but you trounce that a billion times over. I get you're his media guy and thats a cool gig, and kudos to you for scoring that, that's awesome for you. But give it a rest, please, just for one day realize that Ed isn't the creator, the air, the sun and the water. Hey, that sounds like a new Ed K lyric. Hope Ned (Nick and Ed) doesn't steal it and put that on the next failure he releases.

Ah, come on, you are not being intellectually honest here.

A.) they replied to a post and quoted the same words used byt he original poster.

B.) The description is accurate. How can that be a pot-shot? It is a FACT that Ed is making soft-rock songs with overt Christian themes. That actually is soft churchy music.

Look, I don't have an agenda against Ed. I am seeing him this fall. I pre-ordered Ed's album. I am one fo the few that really likes SFBM. It isn't hard rock. It isn't edgy rock any more. But it suits me for the kind of inspirational music that it is and I love Ed's voice.
