Okay, so if you've gotten the latest "Live Lounge" Email Newsletter, you will find an 8-second mp3 clip attached to the e-mail.

I opened it, listened to it, but have no idea what song it is. It's a medium-quality live recording.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like a live recording of "Vine Street" but the lyrics don't seem to fit... shrug.gif

I didn't notice the mp3 sample, so I'll have to check it... I'm at work right now so I'll have to wait till I get back home.

If it sounds like a live recording of 'Vine Street', chances are that we'll finally get a recording of the songs called 'New City'... I KNOW it exists, and I also KNOW someone who might have it, so everything is possible.

I agree -- the SOUND is Vine Street-ish, but the lyrics are definitely not "Vine Street." Honestly, I'm thinking "New City," but I have no basis to judge since I never actually heard that one during the short time they were playing it. I can't think of any other songs they have played live that no one would be familiar with...

Yeah, it's Vine Street from back in 1998 when Live played a show with a TON of new songs, including the ONLY song from TDTH that I have NEVER found a recording of, Still Aroused. That version of VS has alternate lyrics, as did some of the other TDTH songs played at that show. Deep Enough was also played at that show and had different lyrics, too.

I missed that attachment... I thought it was just the actual graphic of the newsletter. Thanks for pointing that out.

Dan, thanks for the nice gift in the e-mail! smile.gif

The only B-Sides I know of that were recorded (and leaked) from TDTH were the alternate versions of the album songs, plus Vine Street (which was officially released, though ruined as compared to the kickass live version), as well as Deeper and Don't Wait.

If you get New City, please share! I've only heard it once and don't remember it. tongue.gif

Sweeeeet....thanks for helping out.

Does anyone happen to have a full recording of Vine Street with the alternate lyrics? I'd be very interested to hear it!

I finally lost the last newsletter... can someone please PM me the attached sound clip?

Deep Enough was never played in 1998...Maybe you are thinking of Don't Wait.

Its possible The Vine Street recording was from the SS tour in 1997. The song sounded much different then.

Bootleg Heaven has a good recording of Still Aroused from 6/20/1998.

I have heard and seen performance of Change and New City, but I cant really recall them now. I just know New City was really really good and Change was OK.
