It's all good.

I like that Kevin & possibly Sean is moving to PA. Pat laid out the facts that staying close to home keeps them humbled. Great interview. Chad is very genuine with his passion about being nervous with starting it all over from the beginning.

Bob,
I have to agree...the interview was great and these guys are very humble MFers!
It was funny seeing Taylor say he was nervous for the people to hear his music and to grasp it and like it..I think TGF will be a big hit...all the best to the new band and I look forward to seeing them locally.

You're forgetting that Nick hates genuine feeling in his interviews, he prefers hearing hearing his idols outright lie, I suppose that is quite interesting in it's own way.

I don't care how much he shits in these threads anymore, all in all it's just another brick in Nick's wall.

Chad Taylor posted a nice reply on his facebook answering some folks questions. I think this leave zero room for debate on why things are taking so long:

QUOTE
Chad Taylor Looks like album will be released towards the end of summer. We are finalizing the artwork and currently editing the video. Unlike most "baby" bands TGF has to take the time to develop world wide partnerships and associations from day one. We are only working with the very best and pushing far outside of the traditional industry models. Team ... See MoreGracious Few is growing by the day. "Honest Man" is at rock and alternative radio and thankfully being received very well in the early days. We are trying hard to deliver the ultimate fan experience while also rehearsing the songs, shooting videos, doing press and building the team....hang in there, the wait will be well worth the extended ramp up.

I agree, I think it is probably more of a collaboration between all of the members including Kevin. I don't think Live would have sounded anything like TGF even if the rest of the guys did have a say over the past ten years because Ed would still have had some input. I also don't think Ed would have done a very good job on a lot of the songs that TGF have recorded as his voice really wouldn't fit the songs. Of course, I am talking about Ed's current pussy voice and not his voice of ten or so years ago.

Yeah I mainly agree with that as wel although I think we would have heard something along the lines of TDTH again. Take Ed' s love lyrics and give it a darker sound and we would have ended up with alot of songs like Where Fishes Go and Like I Do from BOP. It would have been good I think! Oh well, I am excited to see TGF in concert now! Cant wait till they hit Atlanta area!

How did you ever become the administrator of a Live message board? Seriously. Any fan of Live should eat that interview up and want more.

Sometimes I think that NectarDan only made one mistake during the whole time that he owned that board - and it was the last decision he made.

Aitkens even got a shout out in that interview with the band!!! Infamy I tell you, infamy.

It is so freak'in cool that Kevin Martin is planning (or at least is considering) moving to Lancaster. Wow, talk about committing to a new project. Southeastern Pennsylvania is beautiful and great. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Nick is only intersted if Ed is involved. That's pretty fucking sad considering all the great music of the first four albums were made by all four guys. Now he only has eyes for Ed. If I were his wife, I'd seriously be worried.

Fact is that literally thousands of fans have all commented on how nice Pat Chad and Chad were after shows. How they were all willing to take pictures and sign whatever they could. How Chad T would hug anybody, guys and gals alike. Fact is, just as many stories surfaced as to what a fucking jerk off Ed was. How he snubbed people and completely ignored most people. How he wouldn't even say hello or answer any questions. He's been PROVEN to be the most rude and least personable by a million miles.

The chads and Pat are known to be sincere and down to earth. No reason ever to suspect they're liars or anything of the sort. When they blew up at ED, there must have been a good fucking reason. Only a moronic fanboy douche bag like Nick could think otherwise. With the character these 3 have shown, there's absolutely no reason to think otherwise. Not to mention that IT'S ALL THREE OF THEM. You honestly think all 3 guys just made this up Nick? Do you really? Because if you do, you've got to be the biggest retard on this planet.

I don't really agree with them blasting Ed publicly neither. But it's 100% clear that Ed did something pretty fucking underhanded to make those 3 guys explode like that. For 20 years, there's been NOTHING exhibited in any of their character, that might lead one to think any outburst like this could ever be expected. For 20 years, these 3 guys have been WAY beyond gracious and friendly to their fans. I've personally seen hundreds and hundreds of people comment on how great they are. That's just my experience. Never EVER even once have I heard one single person say that any of these guys were rude, unfriendly or anything of the sort.

You honestly think these three guys just blew up for no reason?? REALLY?????? Again, I don't agree with their public outburst, but the fact remains that these three guys were the CLASS OF LIVE for 20 years. Ed has snubbed his fans, refused autographs, avoided people outright and been an utter douche bag to hundred and thousands of his fans over the years. I can't even count how many stories I've read regarding Ed being a total fucking asshole, including one from you NICK.

Now all of a sudden, Ed is MR friendly with his fans?? Why do you think that is? Because he needs them now more than ever. When things were going well, he didn't give a fuck. Now, when he's desperate? He's all mr lovey dovey, singing on web cam from his piano at home. Now he loves everybody and wants everybody to buy his shit and join him via twitter and paid phone call.

He's a user and only cares about shit when it benefits him it seems.

QUOTE(TheBeacon @ May 28 2010, 3:55 pm) *

Damn this excites me and makes me sad too to think what could have been the last 10 years! I have a feeling alot of the TGF songs are music Chad and the other guys have written over the years and just now able to really polish it and make it complete. We are in a sense hearing what LIVE would have been over the last decade just with a different voice. banana.gif

... I am not bashing Kevin at all because his voice is really growing on me but can you imagine how bad ass Trecdiem would have been with Ed's lower voice! Awesome,. Definely SS material!

I honestly don't think Ed has anywhere near the power in his voice to fit this music. I don't want to imagine it. I honestly think Martin is much better suited for this music than Ed ever would, or would have been in the past. The vocals on this album are unique and I cringe to think of what Ed might sound like trying to sing to these tunes. No thanks. Kevin Martin did a great job.

Check out Adam Taylor's site if you get a chance. The kid was pretty good Thursday night, and I feel like I've forgotten to mention him. Really a nice and cool guy too. Got to talk with him for a little after his set. Has sort of a Bob Dylan feel to him, and his acoustic version of No Diggity was great.
