i love it they surprise me everytime what a band they rock & pop they sound great whatever they do.
they can do no wrong in my eyes ,etter than all this british crap bomb.gif over here apart from the stereophonics victory.gif roll on june 14th yay.gif

All that British Crap is my fave music nowadays!!!! ;-)

The album is okay, I actually really like "Show", sounds like an old Heart song or something. But yes, I miss the angst. "V" was definitely a better album, IMHO. "and "BOP" probably was better as well, I love running to that album. I think Live has it in em to make another great album, that is of course if this album doesn't break them up.

Guys, go back to Jamaica and write, it really helped out "SS"!!! My question is, what happened to Ed's lyrics. I thought "MJ" had great lyrics, most of "TC" had great lyrics, and then they started getting worse with "SS". Typically I would think the older you get, the more "mature" and "wise" you get, the better the lyrics would become. Its been the opposite in eds case.

Oh well, "SFBM" has some good tunes, but nohing brilliant. The last song of LIVEs that really struck me hard was "Unsheathed".

But .. I gave examples as well, you told me songs that were unlistenable and I told you songs that were unlistenable (Show and Wings and much of SFBM) the thing is here I guess where opinion does come in to it. Fact is that they aren't good songs, but I guess different people have a higher tolerence to poor songs than others .. or something.

My point is that they're not bad either and they're not.

The new album is great. I haven't stopped listening to it since I bought it four days ago.

It is true that all Live albums are individual and shouldn't be compared but it is going to happen.

I have also been a fan from the begining. I love all of their albums.

I do have my favourites though!

I think all the hype around the release dates has put some people off from buying SFBM. However it is worth a listen.

We also have to remember that the band has grown up, luckly for me I have practically grown up with at the same time, so ofcouse their sound is going to change and their albums are going to sound different. I would rather a band produce different sounds than have every album sound the same.

I got the album today thanks to amazon.de The album is very good, it is better that BoP in the sense that it flows better but I miss a standout rocker like Like I Do. The songs I do not like are: All I need, You are not alone and Home.

One more thing: listening to the whole album on a cd player, loud, or in my car was different than listening to the leak on my pc. I appreciated some songs more; songs that I did not really like in the first place such as: Mystery, Wings and Love shines.

Thank goodness I got the Dual Disc version as it has the audio album on that side too - the stupid CD side must be write protected and won't play on my PC. Bastards at Sony/BMG! I never file share and I think it's a pain in the arse not being able to put my favourite music on my own computer to listen to it... anybody woul think they didn't trust us.

As for the songs - I've not really had the chance to get to know them yet, but I quite like the vibe of the whole album (I've listened to it once as I only got it this morning). It's more folky than pop in my opinion... which may change after a few more listens.

Like cry because it was bad or cry because you were happy to get it?

By the way I was eating at Chipoltle the other day (I don't know if this concept of a fastfood burrito joint has made it to Europe yet) but I heard Live's version of "I Walk the Line" and realized how big this song could be right now.

OK, the end all to the discussion "pop" or "not-pop": Ed appeared on KLSY 92.5 in Seattle. I'm a Seattle native and I heard LIVE the first time EVER on 107.7 THE END who were responsible for introducing us to such bands as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mud Honey, etc. They also premiered songs like LJ, Freaks, etc and were always really good to LIVE. Today, The End is still premiering PJ songs and broadcasting Audioslave special sessions (btw credit to LIVE for introducing me to Audioslave over the monitors at past concerts) and Ed is shmoozing with the likes of James Blunt at the soft rock/pop station across the lake... I think it is clear what direction they have gone. surrender.gif

I've been listening to it for more than a week now and I love it! Even the songs I didn't like much after the first listen like WDWGFH, Home, AIN and YANA have grown on me. I find it very easy to listen to. Ok, I know that's not what everone wants, but I've made up my mind long ago not the agonise too much about albums not sounding like previous ones etc. You'll drive yourself nutty. tongue2.gif

As a former Seattle-ite, I about died a million slow torture filled deaths when I read about Ed~I used to be a rocker~K on KLSY!!!!!!! HELLO....this is the station your dentist pumps into the office while you impatiently wait for the novacaine to hit and take your away from the sugar coated POP music....

Pre V era LiVE is my heart and soul. Hell, LiVE is tattooed on my ankle, but I can not get myself to feel any emotion for the new cd. I have listened to the leaks but have not gone out of my way to order the cd or DL any of the podcasts. And Nick before you send me a lecture via AIM or PM, give it a rest.....

All I can say is thank god for the new PJ, tool and godsmack releases.....
