T-shirts are one thing. After flipping out and doing everything possible to protect the privacy of one's family, then a few years later when its convenient to put them on overpriced coffee to sell is another thing.

Ed didn't put them on coffee. And how is this much different. Are you also saying Live's merch wasn't overpriced?

Bre, let it go. Why are you going on and on giving these text book thesis like hypotheticals. My comment was regarding the thread we ranted over regarding the breakup was a hoax. I think in time you'll change your position or soften it a bit.

The next person you're challenging in this thread said it all quite nicely.

I was referring to the same thing...you persist as well, you haven't let go of what you do at all.

In case you haven't heard me before, the "hypotheticals" are there because I don't want to assume things the way you have been.

The rest of her post was touching and true. It just didn't conclude any of the debate over the newsletter. Off topic.

I'm pretty sure he did. He had bags of coffee with him on them and bags of coffee with his daughters on them.

QUOTE(sallyinpa @ May 26 2010, 10:55 am) *

"They cheated the fans!" The key word is cheated and I won't even go into that discussion anymore, no point. Chad, Chad and Pat have no contractual obligations to mention ED (or whtever he's calling himself these days). Death of a loved one puts life in focus and reminds us to treat one another with love and respect. Legalities aside, Chad, Chad and Pat are moving forward with their music and their lives. They are happy, content and looking forward to the future as TGF doing the thing they all love the most......their music. The three of them are brothers, they are present for one another thru happy times, thru sad times and thru very difficult times. That is what friends do and they are friends in the truest sense of the word.....more than that, they are family. The pain of being disillusioned by a long time friend fades in day to day life but that doesn't mean the deep seeded hurt doesn't remain within. The courts and lawyers will now handle the sad facts that are just that FACTS. We remain positive that TGF will bring joy to it's members and fans as well. We choose to focus on the positive and look forward to the upcoming months. LIVE was a huge part of our lives and it would be unthinkable to cast those years aside with angst. It is what it is! Love your family, treat them as a present from God because, as a very smart woman once told me, that's exactly what they are: presents! Peace Out

Question...you began your post talking about Chad, Chad, and Pat and talked about them as "they" and "them" than you start talking about Chad, Chad, and Pat as "we" and "our". So are you Chad, Chad, or Pat? By the way, good luck tomorrow with the show!!

Oh his daughters....I personally think thats not cool. But when he writes heaven, love shines, sofia....we don't talk about his greed in using their image to make money. Maybe Ed really loves the coffee, would it be okay then? As I said before, its organic and fair trade, two good causes. We don't know the source, who knows how much of this coffee is Ed's cut. Probably alot, but maybe hes making alot for someone else too. He seems to cover his bases that way. Sell out, but put out a good image. Like the 3 charities featured on his homepage. In any case, looks like the girls are already working for their own college education haha....its not cool, but I still wouldn't think of Ed as being completely disgraceful for selling a family image.

When she said "they", she was referring to the band.

When she said "we", and "our", she was assuming the ideals of the fans in general. But she assumed right for most here on these boards. In fact, I think its pretty much true, just an assuming way to put it.

The only reason it seems that I have been taking Ed's side is because there's been so much nonsense against him, and I felt up for commenting. I'd probably end up doing the same for Chad if I read a boring wave of senselessness against him while heralding Ed unjustly.

try reading nick's posts about chad and tgf-- dont seem to recall you responding there.. oh wait.. i'm sure thats because nick's posts about tgf are non-senselessness (is that a double or triple negative? heynow.gif )

Gotcha, that makes sense!

It definitely goes both ways. Like when Nick responds in TGF forum and people tell him if he doesn't like the music, then he shouldn't post there. Then you take a look at the Ed forum and see everyone who hates his music posting how much it sucks. So, I think there is a lot of nonsense on both sides.

Oh well, I'm just ready for the music! kicking.gif

Live's merchandise was priced pretty reasonably against other acts in the entertainment industry. As for your coffee speculating? I would think he gives the yes or no on selling with his kids images.....oh low and behold......He took this down the coffee featuring his kids from his online store.

He did have the picture of his daughters on the coffee bag on his website. However, when I saw him in Morristown October 2009...his daughters weren't on the bags for sale. It was a picture of Ed and his acoustic guitar.
