I think if you attempt to mend ties, or have put something behind you, found your peace in whatever it is you're currently doing and have put the past behind you - it doesn't mean that everything you said previously is not true.

It just means that you see that point in your life as over - and perhaps you DON'T need that negative energy around, and it would be a great chance to move on.

Maybe I'm a positive thinker that way, and I would rather it be this and not that. I hear your argument - valid. Did not say once that it wasn't. I've presented mine - albeit, very few facts of what's actually happened because we just don't know, do we?

The thread did not set out for people to perceive TGF as saints of some kind that you have to rush out and buy their shit...It was quotes and the comments and opinion, which is no way opinion of TGF or Ed.

First of all, I can't accept it because I don't know if it happened, for the tons of reasons you've read in the past. I wasn't looking to re-hash discussing Ed stealing in this thread.

Yeah man, all we're suggesting is one way or the other it could be LIKE THIS. There's so much other shit going down and everyone is amped for this great music. Some people are into the pop-rock stuff Ed is doing and that's cool! Others like me are going TGF mental and July/August can't come soon enough!

The thread is just opinion. The quotes from the newsletter aren't suggestive of anything negative toward anyone. Even if it was everything a LIVE fan wanted to hear, you'd still get the odd comment pulling the thread a different way. It's opinion. That's what it's gonna do.

It's pretty sad that they can't send out a message to the Fans of Live without bringing out all the conspiracy theories. Could it be that they actually just wanted to honor the Fans of Live by updating them with what's going on? Nah, too obvious. People are cherry picking a few passionate comments that were made about the demise of their band as representative of how they are and proof that there is some sort of smear campaign going on against Ed. As nearly everyone has acknowledged, Chad, Chad, and Pat have always been very gracious (no pun intended) towards their fans and respectful in honoring their relationship with the band Live. I see the newsletter as just more evidence of that.

I like your direction, but you're speaking out of context. And is it not worth speculating Ed's name in a friendsoflive letter hosted by TFG?

Well, the context is skewed by the pejorative tone towards things that are not necessarily sad, like the idea talking about why Ed is in the letter. Or suggesting the idea of cherry picking passionate comments from the band, when in fact such statements are not as fleeting or as un-grounded, as you suggest. Or mentioning proof of a smear campaign, when there was no mention of "proof", nor a smear campaign in the context that you suggest. Or making a conclusion on the misappropriated responses in this thread, by stating how TFG is being gracious, even though nobody on this thread has denied this, and it has actually been suggested on this thread numerous times.

I don't mean to take away from your idea, but I answered here cause you asked. I liked the direction you were taking and I only responded earlier because I like having my ideas come across clearly. In this case it was the smear campaign idea. It almost looks like outtodry has been putting effort similar to a smear campaign, but nobody said anything about proof, and I didn't mean a real sanctioned campaign...though you never know haha.
