You guys might get a laugh from this smile.gif

Who's excited about the World Cup? Should we start a new 2010 WC thread?

hey that's right Dan, i totally forgot that Australia are at the WC this year again!

I will hopefully be going to one of the Aussie games - hopefully get a chance to put some pics up.

Everyone in this country is psyched for the tournament, and as you can imagine WC fever has hit with under 25 days remaining until the kick-off.

Also, a side note Dan, watching the Italia 90 WC on DVD and Robbie Baggio is a legend! What a player! People are raving about Messi at the minute, but Baggio at his best was amazing.

Edit: I have confirmed tickets for Holland vs Denmark in Johannesburg on 14th June, but am trying for Spain v Switzerland and Portugal v Brazil here in Durban. Also, wouldn't mind Holland v Japan here in Durban as well! I support Holland at World Cups, so that would be cool.

Barcelona have been whoring around Arsenal again for Cesc Fabregas. Here is Arsenal's 'official' response:

Love this ad! Saw it for the first time yesterday. banana.gif
Can't wait for the WC to start... it's a shame at Ronaldinho isn't going to be there though.

BTW, Italian TV really IS like that. Honestly, some of the worst television of this world come out of Italy.

I know! It's truely poor.

Have you watched Serie A and heard the commentary lately?

Nuffin really. Another 1-day (or game) star yanno.

The funniest thing is his teammate and the one who played for the Russian youth national team with him is a very good pal of mine... and guess what....

He re-furbished my flat. this is what he is busy with now.

eh.gif

for the amazing lives footballers lead, their career is quite short, and from heroes one second, back to real life once they retire, usually mid-thirties.

Heavy crash back down to earth if you ask me.

The football virus stikes again in the Netherlands , everything turns into orange.
Whole streets are orange.
Every shop you buy something you get a bonus of some sort of orange thing, horns, flags , lions,Things to decorate your car with orange
The first match the Dutchies play july 14th. 1.2 million people have a day off.

For some reason my house gets filled up with orange stuff indeed.... Funny how those stupid gifts and all lead up to a 52 million euros ppl spend just for the WC (just in Holland, for the record). Insane really... especially with kids around...

They get influenced by the ads, other kids. All of a sudden an airhorn is THE thing to own. Like they really need one. Weird.

Please tell me you're not talking about the vuvuzela? If that thing escapes South Africa and makes it way into European football I just may need to stop watching football all together.

HAHAH...... I think I already saw those in orange somewhere....

I meant those airpressured horns: canned air with a horn.... literally....
