I'm calling it now: "Eat Your Love" (if that's the real title) will be a metaphor about eating the bread/body of Christ.

Ugh...stop writing brutally religious songs, Ed!!!

It's such a sweet and cute track list... all nice 3 minutes pop songs.

Why the hell does Ed mention that his album is gonna rock? He does that like all the time.. shrug.gif

Actually, any song that I've heard from his album isn't outright Christian. The themes are ambigious and the listener can take from that what they choose.

eh .. water and the wine, the lord above ... he may not be saying the words jesus christ, but it's pretty heavily implied.
It's nowhere near as ambigious as his earlier lyrics, those really let you make up your own mind.

Agreed. "I was lost, but now am found." -- The Great Beyond (that is from parable of prodigal son); "...drink you like the nectar that falls down from Eden." -- Drink; "bring me over to king david." -- Zion

I mean, Nick, I know that you like Ed's music a lot - that's totally fine. But you cannot tell me that he is not strongly talking about Christianity. Also, I don't listen to Christian contemporary music, but I've heard it, and very often, the words are not "I love God." Most of the time, they just suggest verses from the bible, or quotes from it, stuff that Ed does all the time now.

The album will be released on V2 records in Europe only. Possibly the European version is a bit different from the US/international one. Or BOL's list is wrong, that wouldn't be a first. They misspelled "Kowalczcyk" too.

my thoughts. The artists sometimes do release different versions of albums in diff countries

However, Ed's music translates to mass audience as well. CHristian contemporary music,, typically mentions Jesus by name and is overtly religious. Ed's songs vaguely make references to Christianity and spirituality. "I was lost, but now I'm found" is used to a lot of non-christian things as well.

Heaven for example is a very spiritual song, but had mass appeal.

Add inte between the n and the r in the word unrest and that just about covers it.

Perhaps that's another metaphor, or a generalize expression of approbation - as when I tell my gf if I know what's good for me "That's a rockin' outfit, honey".

It does not actually mean that she looks like anyone from Metallica or Rage Against the Machine.

So Stand is US only, Eat Your Love and Sweet Surrender are Euro only. I wonder why the differences. I always thought Euro versions would have bonus tracks, but not missing tracks.

There's a difference most likely so Ed can hopefully get a few more sales out of people like Nick smile.gif
