Those videos I just posted, that's the LIVE I became a fan of. That's the LIVE that took me by storm and became my favorite band growing up. That's the LIVE that I want to remember when I'm older.

I listened to the Kingston RI (93) & Academy Theater (94) boots tonight while travelling. Let me tell you. Some amazing performances there by all band members. Ed's lyrics and power and rage was chilling. Well enjoy all of those as that will be our rememberance of them from now till eternity. Ed doesn't have that voice anymore, sorry I have to say it.

You said it was sold out because the venue was smal a bar or something.

Ed is in Paradiso again in september and thats not a small venue, oké there are bigger but its not a bar or something so lets see if its sold out then.

It will sell out. It is Holland. And I still am thinking of gathering the money and flying over to at least see Ed with my own eyes at last.

On topic about songs, I bet TGF will for sure stick to harder early Liev songs, but MUCH more they will play Candlebox and maybe even some of the Hiwatts.

indeed amazing stuff. I always watch that Stage '94 video when I need a dosis raw energy!!!!!

Also, watch gracey on the drums, acting like a mad man 1:15 - 1:25 . It's like he's running during his drumming, haha!

This is one of my favs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj-X6EO3GZk&feature=related

pure unadulterated passion, intensity ... this was a band that made me want to get involved, this is a millions times more uplifting and inspirational than just singing empty words about love and water and adding "yeah child". And I mean this was a damn TV show, how many bands do you see get up on Letterman, or even Jools Holland or something like that and show this much energy and desire and passion .. blows me away. They had the audience by the balls and demanded attention.

It's my fav bootleg of Live, absolutely awesome .. the version of Susquehanna on it is just out of this world. Not to mention awesome renditions of Waterboy, Operation Spirit and Tired of Me ... so good. But that's ok, according to Nick the Eddie K band will be able to produce shows just as good as this smile.gif

Which sounded like it would be about 7 people?

These people, and yourself, have a very, VERY low standard when it comes to music .. no wonder the music industry is in such a mess when people are happy to just be spoon fed trash and accept it as "fine".
God the amount of absolute QUALITY musicians out there, guys that would even put CT, CG and PD to shame is incredible, and you're happy with this??

Know your enemy before you bash them:

300 to 400 people at the show. Cologne is a major music city. Everyone and their goldfish play in the clubs and major venues around town, because here is where you go when you want to promote a record. Lots of record labels here, it's the German capital in terms of TV broadcasting. It has also a reputation among musicians around the world to have a very unforgiving audience. But once they love you, they will stick with you through thick and thin.

no bash to cologne at all, I love Germany and German people. My bash was against th complete lack of energy that video showed for the show. Totally flat.
