season over - better than was expected. No trophies - but progress. 3rd in the championships.

We have to keep believing. With some quality additions and getting rid of some dead weight in the team; perhaps a top-class goalie and at least 2 new in defence, I believe we will be stronger next year.

I agree with you both. Wenger is a stubborn git, but surely he can see we have a huge problem here. He says we shipped too many goals - 40 - and you can't win the league conceding that many. Hopefully that means he'll get a decent keeper. I expect Gallas to leave and Sylvester to follow. So we should get at least one new badass centre back. We'll likely unveil Chamakh soon.

This season was an improvement but ultimately disappointing. We finished higher up but only 5 points ahead of the scum so it's hard to get too excited

BAAAAAAAHAHAHA the fucker still remains the posesser of a nice sence of humour.

You can not fucking imagine how the city got psyched when he moved to London and he gave his first interviews in English, crooked, but whatever.

I still count him one of the best players in the history of football and do hope he will get his golden ball (r how you call it) and return home to finish his career. At least that was what he promised, just like his ex-teammate Kerzhakov (who is also the national team forward) who after failing in Seville now returned home and plays for his first club again

If Russia can make a stadium based on the Krelmin then it gets my vote for the world cup.

haha I love the Australian media, we make such a big deal about "what is AFL gonna do if we get the 2018 or 2022 world cup??" .. they talk about it like it's just inevitable that we will get it. Bit of wishful thinking I think.

some amazing stadia there +Ed+ hope it works out for Russia.

I watched the play-offs and I thought Russia were unlucky not to make it to SA...Guus Hiddink has done a great job there...is he staying on as coach now?

He was coach for Belgium, but hey, Russia has a better pay-check... so he left.
