$100 for some merchandise, backstage meet and greet passes, sound check passes, and the actual ticket to the show is actually a good deal. A $100 for a cheap pendant is a rip off.

If I had money to spare, I'd love to get that pendant and then get it valued somewhere and see what it's actually worth haha

SOF Membership Level 4

EK Society Of Friends 1 Year Membership includes:

• Digital Download ($20 Value) - EddieKLIVE Bootleg 8 (Bootleg consists of 16 MP3's and 10 music vids from London, England show July 2009)
• Access to EK-SOF Area
• "first in line" ticket pre-sales for shows
•1 backstage meet and greet pass to show of choice
•SOF official T-shirt
•brief personal phone call with Ed within 90 days of purchase

Price: $250.00

Now, from what I see, for $200 over at TGF, you get 2 tickets to see/hear kick-ass rock music, VIP treatment, meet and greets, backstage passes and t-shirt x 2.

If I was gonna fork out that kinda dosh, it wouldn't be on a '1st in line promise' and a 3 minute phone call.

Edit: I don't care much for the mp3's cos they're not my thing - but whatever blows that drummer's hair back/up.

not saying one's better than the other, both are equally excessive to say the least, but that's hardly the point - the music is - and that's where I choose to find my value in a band.

edit: sorry for consecutive posts - my pc did something else.

Not to mention that the TGF price is probably influenced a good bit by the venue too. They seem to want to do things for low prices for the fans in general.

For $250 I go downtown and get a much more personal "service" - if you catch my drift.

Ed's manager asked me if I'd be interested in being an admin for his facebook page. It was very nice of Ed to do that.

Anyone think of buying a membership to EK's fanclub to get the phone call and tell him what a wanker he's become?
