although id love to see this thing unfold wihout intervention i will say i joined the boards during bop (discovered lightning crashes in 98, got TDTH as a present and became hooked on it, somehow flew under the rader of V and then bought bop and quite liked it) but i remember pokey under a different username was already a hardcore fan for a while, though his opinion of bop was somewhat different then than it is now tongue.gif but please, continue

Well, no question, I also got into Live in 1999 and I entered FANSOL a week after WFT back in June 2003 as wel, as that was the time I first got my dialup connection at home. And I for sure remember him as Herzelied as well, but that makes me think he joined the Live land in 2003....

haha yes I was Herzeleid .. and been a fan since MJ days .. my Dad bought MJ back when it was released, I was about 6 or 7 then and he played it heaps and I got really into it. So long long long time before BOP .. but I did join the board in 2002 ... I was initially really excited about BOP, the live bootlegs from 2002 of Like I Do and Life Marches On had me excited but like most people I was duped when the likes of Sweet Release and Heaven were heard and Life Marches On was butchered. I still do enjoy some of BOP, Like I Do, Lighthouse, WAWFF, She .. even Out To Dry and Everytime I See your face were Live doing pop-rock as good as they could.

Lighthouse does have a wicked guitar quacking there indeed.

Sorry, mate, I thought you were in in 2003...

That's what I really do mostly hate.

Just like saying; fook, TGF is the Led Zepp of modern-days.

No fucking way. There is no Led Zepp other than Led Zepp.

Anyone making that claim has no idea what they are talking about. TGF hasn't even released an album - they will never be Led Zepp.

I'm not sure if anyone is saying TGF is the led zepp of modern day, that is a MASSIVE call, but you can certainly say they were influenced by led zepp.

Um, according to some posters here, they are BETTER than Led Zepp ever was! In fact, they are going to be bigger than the Beatles and Jesus combined! Nothing will ever be as good as TGF! They're rawking, man!

I don't think anyone's going that far. Though this is the internet, land of unnecessary hyperbole.

Where do I begin. Oh yeah, I am the tgf superfan. I don't need to say much on this topic. We're getting some original music which was inspired by 5 guys, musical idols. I think you don't have to look further than that and then hear some of the songs we've gotten. 92, no one has said that, not sure why you even took the time to post that. I am only supporting what I know is a sure thing. With one side of the coin you get something totally new, the other side not so much and then a terrible attempt to recreate somthing that cannot be recreated without the original members.

Listen to this crap:

If it wasn't Ed singing it I'd have sworn it was a cover band. Guitar's gotta be a bit more prominent in that song, guys, and get rid of that cheesy 70s space film sound effect you had going on, yeesh.

that was an abortion, a total hack of a great sounding song. That was adolecent at best. Adam should go out on his own again, try something new.
