Maybe you're right, in fact, you are. See how easy it is Nick?

But I'm not the administrator here am I? If I were, I wouldn't be running around like a child making the ridiculous and asinine statements you make. Your bias is mind boggling, immature and profoundly.....I don't even know the word to use anymore.

You're the admin of this site. quit acting like a child. I'm seeing at least twenty other members who all see it, yet you don't? You still continue to argue. How many board aministrators you think this happens to? Just curious.

So whether I'm the right or wrong person to speak of proper ettiquette is completely irrelevant isn't it? You show your complete lack of maturity by deflecting it on to me. Did you stop at all to think that maybe you should accept responsibilty for your own actions here? Like a real man would?

That one line shows me you haven't. Also showing me you resemble nothing of what a real man does. Take a good look in the mirror man and look at what you're doing here. It's utterly pathetic and immature.

Go ahead and tell me I'm doing the same like a child would. So i can again turn around and tell you that YOU ARE THE ADMIN HERE. Real fucking hard to comprehend isn't it pal?

Why do I expect to hear something back like, "I'm just not a fan of hair metal, that's all"

It's good to see CT, CG, and PD have a reason to be passionate and feverish about their music again. They've obviously felt suffocated by The Great Bald One for a while now. I know I would have.

This song isn't the most innovative song in the world, but Billy Corgan said something one time that it's not necessarily what you play but how you execute it. Some of the simplest songs in the world can hit you like a ton of bricks if they're executed the right way. IMO, this song was executed quite nicely. I'm excited to hear what the rest of the album sounds like.

Btw, just as a side note that has no bearing on reality... as much as I appreciate Kevin Martin's vocals on this song... imagine what Chris Cornell could've done with this. Too bad he's too stuck up Timba-flake's ass to do the rock thing anymore. no.gif

It might not be the most innovative song in the world, but as a musician who is rarely surprised by rock music the little guitar riff before each chorus is really, really nice. It is a great creative touch and is quite odd rhythmically. Also, the key change during the guitar solo is a similar nice touch. Those may not be innovations, but they are nice rock music touches you aren't going to hear from many bands these days. It really shows that they are being creative even in their single.

As for the vocals, Chris Cornell sucks now. Lets just be glad that Kevin hasn't done the same and give him all the credit for that. Cornell definitely wouldn't have written those vocal lines these days.

I really dig the song. I think it's definately a lot better than anything on SFBM. I feel the same way about 'Appetite' as well. Can't wait for the album and a tour, where hopefully the guys will tour SA as well.

Great so far!

His pop vocals do... there's no gut, no rawness in them anymore. But the rock vocals of Cornell would kill in this song (and in Tredecim). That's not to say Martin's vocals suck... far from it. In fact, Martin's vocals may well be the best vocals that could've been performed for this music. I also agree that Cornell wouldn't have written lyrics like Martin has. Who knows what he would've written? If it were in the same vein as Black Hole Sun I wouldn't complain, but it's been so long since then. Then again... his lyrics in Audioslave weren't bad, IMO.

Btw, the key change during the guitar solo and the odd rhythm... that's part of what I'm talking about when I refer to the execution of the song. The riffs aren't anything earth shattering, but they don't have to be. You have to be passionate to make decent rock n' roll because a lot of rock isn't overly complex. If you're just going through the motions because the recording contract says so in order to make money, your music is going to suck. Exhibit A: SFBM. Of course, having decently written songs to get passionate over helps... whistle.gif I do have one tiny nitpick about this song, though. During the chorus of the song after hitting the back and forth C-to-D chords, they go down to F and sit on it. It might have sounded fuller if they had instead hit the F, but then came up for the G chord right before going back into C-to-D. Even if it was just on the second go-around that they hit the G. But that might just be me...

Anyway, I can feel the passion coming off these songs. The rock hath returned.
