Just thinking out loud, but wouldn't it have made much more sense to send fans a sneak peak of the new single a week before it is released instead of just a random track off the new album?

Why send something to the masses, that they either already have or will be getting in 3 days? If anything I think it is more of a "gift" to give them something that they otherwise wouldn't be hearing for another month. That makes it much more special.

Now so that you can understand it...

If you send them the single, then they cannot expect the masses to buy it on iTunes or the cd single. By sending them another track, they can still make some money when people buy the single.

I agree, but they could have sent out the single lin the same way that Ed sent out Zion, in a way where it couldn't be ripped.

I would think they'd want to build the buzz for the single before it was released to stations.

Is their a release date for the album yet?

QUOTE(Infrequent Poster @ May 8 2010, 8:17 pm) *

Even on rock radio a song needs an instantly catchy, memorable hook. Tredecim does not have this. That's not to say it's not a great song, it's phenomenal and deserving of all the praise it's received, the band out did themselves with it. However it takes a while to get ramped up, and unfortunately thirty seconds is too much patience to ask of radio listeners who are spinning the dial trying to find something to listen to.

Think of it this way: when you heard this song play on the sampler was your response "oh hell yea I have to hear the rest of that song!" or was it something less enthusiastic? For me this song kind of got lost in the shuffle on the sampler. That's how it'd be heard by the folk flipping through radio stations too, I believe, unlike say Honest Man which has a very catchy chorus and attention grabbing guitar line.

I guess prog music is out of the question for Nick. lol.

There's already buzz for the single, by sending out another track, they're building an even bigger buzz for the album. The album is what ultimately matters.

Also, there's always a way to rip a song. I don't care what the format is. When Blu-Ray came out, wasn't it said that they couldn't be ripped? I believe it took about a week, and someone cracked them and had them ripped.

Why, why do you give a shit so much about what they are doing? You hate them, yet you are constantly following everything they are doing. Everyone can tell you want them to fail and won't stop your meager attempts to make them look bad. Go form your own band and run things whatever way you think is best. But I doubt you can even tell the difference between a guitar and a drum kit.

Yea, they could. But they did not. So?

I really do not want Nick to form and run a band the way he thinks is best. Bald head will not suit him.

The last thing that we need is another pop-rock trash band in this world. Also, one "Eddie K." is also enough in this world, we don't need another one of them running around.

To answer the question on the album date. I haven't been able to find any music publication with a release date listed as of yet.

TGF are making a Rock Album................When Pink Floyd was making records, they cared about making albums, they didn't care for singles. Their popularity and longevity is unmatched. TGF are giving dribs & drabs to 'hook' us like a drug dealer. We want more and more.

On Nicks' interest in TGF. He's interested, he bashing, he pulls no punches, he doesn't like their music, he hates what they stand for.....and yes, he posts on their facebook page. Yes, Nick I am watching. You don't see me friended into Ed's and posting there. hi.gif

Grace is the first single. So, Ed did the same exact thing TGF did. Do you see how ridiculous you look yet?

QUOTE(OutToDry @ May 8 2010, 11:48 pm) *

Feel free to correct the lines with the '?'
Trecedim

I am the harvest moon
My autumn spry
As summers' rapture comes to close
A glow of orange at night
These leaves they lay upon me still
A season's resting place
Careless and free
I am the winter's stay

For days upon days I sailed for your shores
These waters between us are crashing in cold
I said I could change for your season I would
I said I would change.....

I have grown older WILL
By another name
My days have grown shorter filled...with....
A bit more life upon my plate
I cannot return to days of yore
I commit to time, speed forth
Relentless & Riff
Spendour, Encore

For days upon days I sailed for your shores
These waters between us are crashing in cold
I said I could change for your season I would
I said I would change.....

No house for my rage insecure and diseased
your beaches are littered with death and debris
I said I could change for your season I've changed

I Awake and I am dazed
I return A Gilded Man
My life has made me calendar
My life is,
My life is,
Flatlands

For days upon days I sailed for your shores
These waters between us are crashing in cold
I said I could change for your season I would
I said I would change...

No house for my rage insecure and diseased
your beaches are littered with death and debris
I said I could change for your season I would
I said I could change.....yeah!!

Fixed!

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ May 7 2010, 2:29 pm) *

I've gotten zero perks, because I don't want any. I just want to help out Ed because I believe in his music. Unlike you, I'm not helping out my favorite artist in order to win a VIP package.

Dude, you need to shut your mouth because you sound like a complete fucking tool. I'm not sure there is one single person here who agrees with you. Doesn't that tell you something buddy?

And you make comments about not supporting a band that runs contest and bitches over the internet? Are you honestly serious? I just can't phathom that you are. I honestly hope your stupidity never breeds. Not to wish to much ill on anyone, but if god had any sense, he's have blessed you and US with an extremely low sperm count on your part.

As for cockface Ed?

-Selling coffe over the internet
- mugs with his kids faces on them....for money!!
-MUCH WORSE contests....win 50 dollars off his merch? Win a chance to speak to him over the phone for a fee? Come on, it never ends with this clusterfuck douche.
- A 3 dollar pendant to his "fans" for 100 dollars? uhoh.gif

The list goes on and fucking on. Stop with the bullshit Nick. The asshole you're supporting is doing things a million times more pathetic and underhanded. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear you're one of those idiots who could easily belong to a cult.

The likes of charles Manson and David Koresh would've really loved you. Jesus, how sad that there are people like you out there actually allowed to wasted other peoples air.
