Just thinking out loud, but wouldn't it have made much more sense to send fans a sneak peak of the new single a week before it is released instead of just a random track off the new album?

Why send something to the masses, that they either already have or will be getting in 3 days? If anything I think it is more of a "gift" to give them something that they otherwise wouldn't be hearing for another month. That makes it much more special.

I agree, but they could have sent out the single lin the same way that Ed sent out Zion, in a way where it couldn't be ripped.

I would think they'd want to build the buzz for the single before it was released to stations.

Even on rock radio a song needs an instantly catchy, memorable hook. Tredecim does not have this. That's not to say it's not a great song, it's phenomenal and deserving of all the praise it's received, the band out did themselves with it. However it takes a while to get ramped up, and unfortunately thirty seconds is too much patience to ask of radio listeners who are spinning the dial trying to find something to listen to.

Think of it this way: when you heard this song play on the sampler was your response "oh hell yea I have to hear the rest of that song!" or was it something less enthusiastic? For me this song kind of got lost in the shuffle on the sampler. That's how it'd be heard by the folk flipping through radio stations too, I believe, unlike say Honest Man which has a very catchy chorus and attention grabbing guitar line.

I guess prog music is out of the question for Nick. lol.

There's already buzz for the single, by sending out another track, they're building an even bigger buzz for the album. The album is what ultimately matters.

Also, there's always a way to rip a song. I don't care what the format is. When Blu-Ray came out, wasn't it said that they couldn't be ripped? I believe it took about a week, and someone cracked them and had them ripped.

To answer the question on the album date. I haven't been able to find any music publication with a release date listed as of yet.

TGF are making a Rock Album................When Pink Floyd was making records, they cared about making albums, they didn't care for singles. Their popularity and longevity is unmatched. TGF are giving dribs & drabs to 'hook' us like a drug dealer. We want more and more.

On Nicks' interest in TGF. He's interested, he bashing, he pulls no punches, he doesn't like their music, he hates what they stand for.....and yes, he posts on their facebook page. Yes, Nick I am watching. You don't see me friended into Ed's and posting there.
