That intro was mind-blowing I haven't felt the chills from that song in awhile. Lakini's has a way of really getting me ready to face anything head-on. I tend to agree that Ed's music will not obviously rock that hard, but if you are in to what he is doing that's fine. I tend to like the edgier side of LIVE, but I love the spiritual nature as well. So for me I will give both EK and TGF a listen or two and probably see both if they are close by. Unlike LIVE who I traveled many miles over the year to see neither EK or TGF has me so fired up yet that I will travel hundreds of miles as in the past.

Ed makes music that I really enjoy. His lyrics are spiritual and uplifting. In my view TGF, is making total crap, music that tries to make up for its lack of substance with noise.

I don't know either party personally. It comes down to music. For me Ed trumps them in every way. Listen to I Alone with the new band. No noticeable drop off:

Damnit. Why did I even comment. Maybe Ron White had it right. But seriously, I have no interest in that video. I'm pretty sure it can't hold a candle to the many times I saw that performed on the Throwing Copper tour, you know, when it was Live. You're back to the same stuff with your dismissive comments. It's akin to saying well, at least Ed's music is better than that crap TGF music. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Ed. It would actually speak volumes for your support of Ed if you paid some acknowledgement to TGF. It doesn't say much when measured against "total crap" as you call it.

What I love about Nick's criticism is that he has absolutely nothing good to say about TGF in any way, shape or form. It's 3/4 of his favorite band ever and he despises it. The reaction he gives is akin to someone bringing up a point about why they don't like an Ed song and his response basically being "yeah well TGF are all stupid heads with bad hair cuts!" ... I mean even I'll admit to certain aspects of Ed being positive .. I do like Zion, and no doubt his songs are melodic and some catchy (read: doesnt always mean good song). But as it goes on I'm finding his responses funnier and funnier like he's losing the plot.

QUOTE(tiger @ May 9 2010, 5:26 am) *

It's clear his only way to support Ed is to dismiss TGF. It's all very predictable. I can't wait to see what happens if/when TGF blows up and surpasses Ed in every measurable way. Actually, that will be predictable too. He'll gloat if TGF doesn't blow up and he'll get even more bitter if they do.

If Ed outsells TGF he'll have to buy a wheelbarrow to cart his inflated head around. If TGF outsells Ed he'll blame lack of promotion for Ed. He says that he only defends himself here, it seems like he views Ed as an extension of himself.

For his own sake and credibility, I hope when Zman gets his site up and running with its own forum that Nick slowly turns this into a pure Ed forum because it's clear he has no interest in TGF and why have a site supporting a band you can't stand?

Hmm... Wasn't total crap then. Why is it now?

Found a new recording of Believe from Dallas on youtube. The guitar solo and bass is pretty damn good, I must say!

Nick is an easy psychoanalysis. He is likely somewhere on the autism spectrum and has a real need for everything in his life to stay the same. He is clinging to Ed because Ed was the face of LIVE and he is still performing their hits, which allows Nick to not have to face a change that would disrupt his interests. He clearly has no appreciation of good music, as we've gone over time and time again. He clearly has no sense that Ed is a flaming homo who has lost his mind, as we've gone over time and time again. None of this matters to him; it is all trumped by his very real psychological need to not face change. All these posts are funny, such as how he described Believe as "pretty damn good" yet when TGF performs it, and by every single account vastly improved it, it "sucks." It's sad, honestly, because he needs predictability (ED) so badly that he really doesn't get it even when it's proven time and time again. I suggest we stop picking on this poor guy before he finally sees how mentally debilitated he is, retire this site for good, and resurrect it only if LIVE somehow reunites. For the time being, let's set up Nick with fansofed.com and we'll go our separate ways.

I am sure this inclusion into the Zion song was directed at a certain group of people. I am sure they slipped it away for safe keeping.

The more I go and see these clips, the more and more I read comments left like this:
