People lash out on me daily for voicing my opinion, I only attack in self defense(and that is rare).

I'm sorry that I don't like TGF's music, maybe there are clinics that convince people to like psuedo-classic rock?

the not deleting posts and such is true, and good. From that point I think the free reign people have is great. Some admins are way too controling.

I never take things to a personal level at a poster until they attack me first. But there are many more personal attacks towards me on the board, than the other way around.

Well, I don't. But I don't see how responding to a criticism of Ed with an insult of TGF is fair play. You could respond by defending Ed, but I suppose that has become futile. And why the need to respond with such vitriol towards TGF. Like I said, what did they do to you?

I just don't like how they handled the break-up. They are acting like a scorned mistress. It is cool if they are upset, but they have a new band now and just need to get over it.

They were obviously really hurt, it doesn't seem like just a normal parting of the ways, from what they are saying they were wronged pretty damn badly. I know that's hard for you to see your number 1 man da EK have unkind things said about him, but you're just gonna have to put up with it and now that he's made his bed, you're gonna have to lie in it with him.

I still haven't heard how this affects you. My guess is that the more that is revealed about Ed the more you try to protect the image that you have of him. Others have grappled with that too but have let go of who they thought Ed was. Hell, even Ed can't defend himself, so he just gives it no recognition. To do so would be too difficult.

The way they argue with Facebook fans is beyond pathetic. It makes them look so petty, it is ridiculous. You almost feel sorry for their obvious insecurities.

Dude you seem to be the ONLY one who thinks that! If someone comes and blasts them on their facebook page then they have every right to say whatever the hell they want. The people blasting them aren't their fans, so why treat them nicely? It certainly shows more personality and passion than the EK just turning a blind eye to it. I'd respect Ed more if he stood up for himself, even if he is wrong, if he truely believes he's in the right..

It's not as if they're going out and finding EK fans and harrassing them, people are friending them just to have a go at them. Once again, you might want your "rockstars" to act like politicians to maximise sales and everyone live in a squeaky clean world where everyone is lovely to one another, but seriously you got a warped view.

Listen if 3/4ths of a band have uncovered a serious wrong which in fact was done covertly by the other 1/4th, I'm not sure how a normal person with a lot of restraint and patience could resond other than how they have.

Sallyinpa has stated prior and after that he is very very guilty. I have a tendency to believe her as she's stated some things as clearly as one can say them, and firmly.

Ed's naked now. He has only his microphone and a fractured fanbase. I don't think he's gonna gain many new fans. TGF is doing something totally different, I think it will be a big success in the industry starved rock scene.

Now that's not saying that Ed's solo career wont be a huge win for him, but he's now got what's he's always tried to acheive.....being the man. He went about it very covertly and standoffish and runined his friendships which helped him be the one in the spotlight.

Ed makes music that I really enjoy. His lyrics are spiritual and uplifting. In my view TGF, is making total crap, music that tries to make up for its lack of substance with noise.

And this is exactly what I thought, you really don't associate anything beyond the singer. To say that TGF is making up for lack of substance with noise is to show complete ignorance of the music. Voices aside, TGF's music is a lot more varied and complex than what EK is doing, especially Tredceim. Sure it's not the most ground breaking stuff in the world, but compared to EK's it has a hell of a lot more substance.

Again, you may like his "uplifting" and "spiritual" lyrics a lot more, sure. But you have no idea what you're talking about.

And as for your link, there is a big difference. But the biggest difference comes in the writing, it's a lot easier to look at what someone else has already created and try to emulate it than it is to come up with it yourself. There's no way Ed on his own could write an album with the level of songmanship that I Alone had, and even that is quite simple. Again to liken it to Morrissey/The Smiths ..... Jesse Tobias plays guitar for him now and I think does a really good job of playing Johnny Marr's smiths songs in concert. But he doesn't have the ability, creativity or genius to be able to actually write those songs, theres a difference.

edit: actually that's a totally pussified version of I Alone.
