I would definately go to see Ed. I don't care for TGF music at all. It was once Ed's talented voice that captured me into being such a fan of Live in the first place, therefore I must follow the EK journey....

I saw him in March in Orlando on tour with the Open Wings thing and was quite impressed. I think his new material will go back to the days of capturing your ear as Live once did as a whole.

i too was lured in by ed's voice of the mid 90's, but that voice is gone.... and, been gone for a long time. to me, not only is his voice not what it was.... i actually don't like his voice anymore. it seemed in the early LIVE days his voice was raw... it was what it was... raw and intense. now, it seems that he's worked on it to hit the notes correctly and the falsetto and stuff.

and, i don't really care for TGF's music.... a little too 80's sounding. but, i'll admit that all i've heard is that clip of a bunch of their songs on FB.

and, money isn't growing on any trees in my backyard so.....

Also, as one who actually cares about lyrical quality, Ed's new stuff sounds more generally spiritual, not Christian.

The only reason I saw LIVE post 2000 was because of the other guys. If I wanted to pay money to see some shiteating flamer prance around on stage after taking more ecstasy than a fag draped in glowsticks, I'd go see a fucking chip n dales show. Now that it's just the homo with a backing band chock full of Dallas local band losers, I couldn't be paid enough money to go.

I won't ever see Ed again and that includes a Live reunion. I can't stand him. He's a flat out fucking loser in my book. He can go sing his falsetto at gay pride parades and make them happy. Personally, I'd rather climb a large, creaky wooden ladder in order to suck off a giraffe.

I can't believe people still stick by this idiot. From his blowing off fans backstage, to his peddling coffee and mugs with his kids pictures on them. Not to mention his 3 dollar pendant he's selling for a hundred bucks. Fucking hypocritical jackass is what he is. Once upon a time, we weren't even allowed to mention his kids on SOY, out of his need for privacy. now all of a sudden he's using them to make money, for everybody to see with their morning coffee.

I'll GRACIOUSLY take the TGF guys any day of the week. In my experiences, CT, CG and PD have been nothing but wonderful and friendly people (completely the opposite of the attitude I got from EK). And Kevin and Sean have happily welcomed me as a new friend and fan! Sean is freakin' hilarious and Kevin can cuss as much as he pleases. I think he rocks! Plus, those glasses make him look very foxy!!

I am thrilled to hear the passion back in the music and I cannot wait to see them LIVE!

i dont stand by either of these rich motherfuckers, nor do i give a shit which rich guy stole money from the other rich guy. i pay out shit to ed because its funny and i know his feelings wont get hurt coz he got a good life and all, but in the end i like the guys voice and loved his solo show last year and have no reason not to see him based on his personal life. Go home and forget about it. Theres no standing by anyone. There's nothing worse than boredom, I live in a very remote part of the world and anything that comes along is worth seeing.

Im stoked we're getting two albums from this group of freaks!

I would drive 2+ hours on a school night to see Live at the Starland Ballroom. I've done it several times. But I won't make that trip for Ed. When I think about it, I would drive far to see a TGF show (like a Lancaster show) but I probably wouldn't do the same thing for an Ed show, so I guess that says something. Maybe after Ed's album comes out and I warm up to it, I might change my mind. But for me, the clincher is seeing this other band playing the Live tunes. I don't know if I would walk across the street to see a free concert if I had to see that.

I will see Ed in Wilmington DE for the Open WIngs/Broken Strings show though. (That show should be confirmed next week, by the way). I'd rather see Ed acoustic than playing with his new band.
