QUOTE(Aitkens @ May 8 2010, 2:40 am) *

It just blows me away when I think about it. At the very least we wouldn't be forced to live through 3 crap-tastic albums in a row. I don't know which cd is more cringe worthy, V or SFBM.

I'd say SFBM is worse, V was at least an experiment, albeit failed mostly, but had redeeming features. SFBM .. well..

I love the power in this song. The line about crashing waves, and just the tone of the song in general gives me this imagery of out at sea rocking on these giant waves in a storm. It's brooding and just very good. Like Ex said, I think I'd put Honest Man ahead of it still. That one just struck a cord with me.

Doesn't it make you wonder what Live could have been if they were allowed to write the music.

Yes, I think we'd have some other result, if one of 'ahem' members didn't go off the deep end and keep his head

I think that line is still in there in another verse. Have to listen again

I thought "these waters between us" was what we thought was "these wannabe tweeners" .. which never really did make much sense, nor sound like something they'd write. Thankfully smile.gif

Maybe its because I only listened to SFBM once and then walked away. With V, I pre-ordered it. Then found the leak 2 weeks before. So I was able to listen to it and be disgusted, then have the pre-ordered cd show up 2 weeks later. Plus, those might be the worst lyrics of all time.

"Bow, bow everybody body in the hotel
Bow, bow everybody in the motel don't
Knock if the door to my suite is closed you
Should of come to the show but you
Didn't, now you're wishin' that you had
Had to go to jimmy buffet with your dad
With live, it's game seven every single
Night you have to put it on the line to step
Inside"

"Born with your back to the god
That picked you up by the puppy scruff
Angry at who? me? you better back up fool
And be grateful that the real me's always hidin from you
Now, nobody's takin your bicycle
Maybe somebody should take your microphone
La da da da da da da, to each his own, but
I wait for your to understand"

"We hit the room
Me and my crew
And it was cool until we bumped into you
Now it's been years but there you were
Like a mustang
Redlining every single gear with a
Man in pants
Like he was born
In '49
But lost his groove
Back when jesus died
I wanna know, are those replacement hips?
Is that a swatch watch?
Do you know what time it is?
Does he run it deep enough to take you there?
Does he run it deep enough?
Oh tell me baby
Does he run it deep enough?
Oh tell me, tell me
Does he run it deep enough?
Does he run it deep enough for you?
Does he run it deep enough for you?

We hit a couch
The place was packed with sweaty palms,
Sweaty thongs and sweaty backs
My mouth was dry, my brain co ?
The groove was right
So I decided to ignite ?
Your eyes met mine
Your skirt began to rise
And so did i
But you know that I took that prize
In the middle of the club
In the middle of the club
In middle of the club now tell me"

New music doesn't wow me anymore, but this song wowed me. When that little riff came in where I thought they were going to the chorus my jaw dropped.

I guess its the little things that make a song great.

Did I miss something? Was it CT? tongue.gif

But seriously, if people want this it wasn't that hard to join the mailing list. And if they want they album then they better bloody buy it ... I'll admit I like to download a bit of music, but music I think is really worth buying gets bought and TGF are in that category for sure now ... I haven't been this psyched about an album in a long time! (well last year, but that was a special exception).
