WFG, FTQRR & Meltdown are great songs of TDTH.

I didn't mean to start a whole compare this album to that one discussion, I was merely 'strolling down memory lane' so to speak on how the initial reactions to that disk were. In retrospect Live changed their music on each cd they made (and imho not always in a way that I'd have preferred). Nonetheless TDTH is one of their best disks in my book (eventhough SS is gonna be the alltime fav, no matter what).

I do remember WFG been used as an opener.... but I can;t remember when that was.... LMAO

TDTH is great... or more like any superlative you can think of.. smile.gif

My favourite would have to be 'Sparkle', but every single song is just awesome.

Where Fishes Go is what got me hooked on LIVE! Rockfest 1999 in Atlanta. They opened with it and it blew me away. ! I was hooked and couldnt believe I had not listened to this band previously. I had remembered I Alone and Lightning Crashes but seeing them in concert for the first time and those opening chords of WFG did it for me. I went out and bought all three previous albums that week and have been a diehard fan ever since and seen 14 more shows after that in 4 different states! I will miss those days! That time period of age 19 through my 20's was awesome!

Taylor's opening guitar riff on WFG during the TDTH tour was pure awesomeness.

Best way to open a show, get the lights off, strobe lights going to CT's riffs. The San Fran Fillmore show 10/20/99 was absolutely awesome.

I think that TDTH has really fantastic art and art design, maybe the best of any Live album (though TC is a close second because of how well it matches the material). I think its art is wonderfully intricate.

When they started that tour, they guys simply jammed for a min or two prior to 'ahem' coming on stage.

They blasted into the WFG intro, that was used during the demo sessions if I recall that correct. And I do, as TDTH is my No1 album in all-time-greatests-records list =)

Absolutely. That was the best way to open the show imo.

I have said that zounds of times. But I will repeat. The art of the booklet (which I only recently finally got in my country), the promo pics, the interviews, the record, the demos, singles, remixes, versions, gigs - pure perfection. This was the best time in terms of music in my entire life. And still it remains the same. I am moving on, in zounds of different directions, but TDTH always remains on top and stays there unshakeable. Call me a retrograd or even a retard, but really... none of the records I have ever heard manages to hit the spot as much as TDTH did and still does to me. IT IS PERFECT.. and it got me thinking of making a new thread in Other Bands cathegory.Hope everyone will enjoy it lol.gif

I was going to post something about TDTH, but 5 minutes prior to that I decided to spin the disc just to get that feeling you all described above.

I am 20 years old again and I love this cd.

TDTH, for me, was Live's best CD. Like Wendy I remember back when it hit the shelves and what seemed like the majority of Live fans hating it, saying it was the end of Live, they'd sold out, or pussed out or what have you.

TDTH was the right album, the right sound at the right time in my life. It was, as was said earlier, uplifting without being cheesey. Even the b-sides off of that album were incredible. That was Live's peak for me.

Really glad someone mentioned this, I totally agree. I still buy cd's because I know that the artwork and inlay can really compliment the feel of an album, and for me there is none better than that of TDTH. I'm at uni now, and it's the only cd I have with me. I just have it because I really treasure looking through that booklet, it's inspiring.
