And you are?

(That's ballsy, I know)

Other than Live, other artists that I really enjoy are:

Better Than Ezra, Elton John, Seal, Vertical Horizon, Train, Fuel, Incubus etc. I am a primarily light rock guy with a small mix of harder rock thrown in, but really enjoy songs were I can actually understand the lyrics. I never liked very hard rock, and that is why I don't like TGF.

It is simple as that.

I go to the Ed board because I enjoy some pop music and I'm genuinely interested in what he is doing. I am also interested in how his sound reflects current sounds and how it meshes with other pop artists I enjoy.

I don't go over there knowing I won't like Ed's music and then shit on it when I don't like it.

It would be really nice for all of us if you could do the same.

Well to be honest, I love Live, and a few Candlebox songs are great. I thought the music would have been better. I am still interested in hear the last sample in its completed form.

likewise, I might think Ed is a complete ass as a person, but I'm still hoping he can do something musically that'll be good. I admit I do like Zion, so I'm interested but not hopeful for the rest. I find Ed frustrating because I can see what he's capable of and he just doesn't go there.

He takes the easy commercial way out, and plays to his limited fan base. Writing the cheesy lyrics that he writes now are so much easier compared to the depth of his lyrics in the 90's.

Now back to the single, does anyone have a good rip of it yet?

I imagine that our list of favorite Live and Candlebox songs are very, very different.

Strangely, the last sample was the one that sounded the most like either band. I would bet money that Kevin wrote it because it sounds just like a Candlebox tune.

I haven't commented on the song yet, but this song fuckin rocks!!! So excited for this album. I don't want to bring it up because I feel that KM did a pretty good with the vocals on this one, but if Ed threw on some balls and sang his heart out on this song with better lyrics than his recent stuff...this song would absolutely kill. (its pretty close to killing now!) Good stuff, TGF

So you do not spin their early works like Fungus Amongus or S.C.I.E.N.C.E. or Enjoy Incubus? Just to make things clear and not to think that you are even getting the "light rock"... errr... "term" (had to put that into inverted commas) wrong.

Hehe, thanks!!

It just strikes me that Nick is way to far on Ed's jock. Alarming actually. I wouldn't doubt it if he went to sleep with the Ed doll his wife sewed up for him, dreaming that Ed is spilling coffee beans on hot water on him and licking it all up. Kinda creepy but who knows, maybe true.

Dude, you forgot Barry fucking Manilow in there....wouldn't want to forget that now would you Carlton??

You've gone off several times comparing their new music to other music not even in the same genre. Maybe you should learn something....ANYTHING about music before trying to classify it. I respect that you don't like TGF's music, that's quite fine. But you actually try to harp on about how Ed's is better, and that couldn't be any further away from the truth.

TGF is making decent rock music, nothing spectacular. Ed isn't making soft rock, Ed is making pure pop bullshit music. nothing different from his music right now then I'd say, maybe Avril Lavigne? Same boring generic lyrics and musical song structure from song to song. geared to hook onto brain dead idiots that only need a catchy little melody to hook their brain dead asses in to being a fucking fanboy for life. It's sickening how people can get reeled in with this fucking nonsense, it really is.

I'm honestly envisioning you playing karaoke to "quit playing games with my heart" by the Backstreet Boys, and ending it with a god damned tear in your eye.
honestly thinking deep down that you just sung a well written song that came from the heart. some deep shit there buddy.

Welcome back, but I don't think you are the right person to speak about proper message board etiquette.

Maybe you're right, in fact, you are. See how easy it is Nick?

But I'm not the administrator here am I? If I were, I wouldn't be running around like a child making the ridiculous and asinine statements you make. Your bias is mind boggling, immature and profoundly.....I don't even know the word to use anymore.

You're the admin of this site. quit acting like a child. I'm seeing at least twenty other members who all see it, yet you don't? You still continue to argue. How many board aministrators you think this happens to? Just curious.

So whether I'm the right or wrong person to speak of proper ettiquette is completely irrelevant isn't it? You show your complete lack of maturity by deflecting it on to me. Did you stop at all to think that maybe you should accept responsibilty for your own actions here? Like a real man would?

That one line shows me you haven't. Also showing me you resemble nothing of what a real man does. Take a good look in the mirror man and look at what you're doing here. It's utterly pathetic and immature.

Go ahead and tell me I'm doing the same like a child would. So i can again turn around and tell you that YOU ARE THE ADMIN HERE. Real fucking hard to comprehend isn't it pal?
