Yes I do. But these were english lyrics, and I couldn't get a grasp of them. It was basically just noise to me.

It may be "pure rock" but it doesn't mean that I or anyone else has to like it.

And here I was gonna send you some Meshuggah.

Nick, I generally appreciate your restraint and fairness as moderator, but I don't like where comments like this are headed.

If you don't want to come over here and engage in actual discussion, can we get a different moderator for this forum so that you don't have to if you don't want to? I know you've got a lot going on with helping out Ed and all, and believe it or not I respect that. Helping artists is a cool thing.

However, coming over here just to shit on TGF while being a moderator is not a cool thing, especially when you ignore any posts that are a counter-point to your own. That isn't discussion, that is lame.

This song is so freaking awesome. Maybe I'm getting the wrong impression, but I listen to the lyrics and it reminds me how shitty this recession has been for so many, including me. It perfectly captures the anger and frustration I feel.

Of course, it goes without saying that the riff is killer and the guitar solo is plain sick.

They mentioned in the Bio story on Facebook that they wanted this song to tell a story. It certainly does and I sing this refrain to myself in my car when I am blasting the sampler. It makes me happy that these guys are able to do this. Kevin's voice is perfect for this material.

I can't wait to get the CD. I told the good folks here that I will buy 10 of these cd's. Keep few and pass a few out.

That is because you only associate the Live sound with Ed's voice. The Gracey drumming, the Taylor guitar tones and style, and the Pat bass lines; they are all there.

Hell "Honest Man" started as a fucking Live song!! To say that it sounds nothing like Live is possibly one of the dumbest things I've heard on this board (stiff competition from gotigrz).

I will agree that it sounds nothing like what Live did on SFBM, and THANK GOD!!!

Yeah, i also hear the Live sound here. The song is just great, as great as what Live did in the 1990s.

Ummmmm.... yeah, this is fine. If you like the style I'm sure it's a cool track, but I'm not at all fussed by this. However, I do appreciate everything that makes it good in some people's eyes compared to late Live music.

Also, I think people rag on Nick too much for his Ed preference. Sure, it might seem silly sometimes, but there are plenty of people here sucking TGFs dicks and throwing everything they can at Ed but, since they're the majority (at least in terms of regular active posters), it doesn't get pointed out all that much.

Oh well. Few more spins, I think...

Thing is Nick brings it upon himself with his head in the sand attitude. He seems completely delusional as to how things are playing out, is obsessed with albums sales, marketing and how much other people like Ed as opposed to the music itself ... whilst someone like Outtodry is for lack of a better term, the Nick of TGF, he's not going about it in the same manner.
Ed is also an incredibly easy target and just leaves himself open to it.

I don't know if anyone but outtodry could be considered to be sucking the TGF dick, I certainly know there will be songs on the album I probably won't be too fond of. The sampler had a few things on it that didn't sound all that impressive. And for the most part going off previous history as far as Candlebox is concerned, I can only take Kevin Martin's voice in smaller doses.
