Yeah you guys who think the guys are broke are absurd. LIVE enjoyed about 10 years of solid relevance in rock, and during 3 of those years they were without question one of the most popular acts in the world. They've sold more than 20M albums, had countless radio hits, and most importantly, pulled down over 200K per show throughout the mid 90s and over 100K per show for at least a few good years of touring thereafter. I would be floored if the poorest member has less than 10 million dollars in assets, and Ed probably has far more.

Fact is you don't have any more of a clue than any of the rest of us do.

Without knowing how their contracts were set up, you'd be very very surprised at where all that money can end up. I'm not saying they couldn't be millionaires (and likely with decent financial management they would be), but it is far from a guarantee.

For one, a lot of bands don't see money from album sales until their third album, and that's just the beginning of the strange world of music business.

with proper investment there's no reason they shouldn't be millionaires.

With proper investment there's no reason why anyone can't be a millionaire. Really isn't that hard.

Well there are plenty of variables that can ruin peoples chances.

I'd be willing to bet that so long as they havent done anything stupid they should all be over the million mark, but who knows by how much.

Or as long as they don't have kids.... they cost plenty of $$$ ;-)

Although that might sound cynical (and it prob does) I am making that statement as a mom... and I love my girl to pieces... but they sure cost a lot...

Wow.... and that for a first post in ages..... hahahah

I wouldn't go that high, but I recall reading in 2001 that Ed owned a house in the Hollywood hills which listed at $2 mill. (That was in his "post-9/11 panic" phase, when he moved to Ojai). Granted Ed might have got a bit more for working with Tricky, etc but I suspect he spent the most too.
This means that the others probably own pretty decent real estate as well, unless they've got some really bad habits we don't know about.

surely you can't begrudge him for living the lifestyle. If he has the money for it why not? Likewise how Ed spends his money is his business.
