I am pretty sure Ed's CD will be released indie in the states. He was recently dropped from his promotion company, SKH Music, because of their unwillingness to work with a third party currently associated with Ed.

A lot of questions should be answered soon.

I'm still trying to figure out who exactly Ed fucked over?

His bandmates are whining because he asked for a lead singer bonus... because he's the lead singer? It seems like, if there is a thing called a "lead singer bonus," it probably goes to the lead singer. Not the drummer. Or the bass player.

Or did he fuck his bandmates over by not including them on the copyright paperwork for songs they didn't write? He did all of the work, so why should they get paid for that?

And if you mean the latter, I find it VERY ironic that the same "fans" who whine that Ed has been "killing" Live these last 10 years with his "shitty writing" are the same ones who whine that the other members of the band -- who are supposedly clean and pure and have nothing to do with the "shitty writing"!!! -- aren't getting paid for that "shitting writing." Why SHOULD they get a cut if they had nothing to do with it?

Of course, you MIGHT mean Ed has been fucking you over... which could be true. How big are your boobs?

Are you really forming an argument based entirely on your own speculation?

1. It was never stated the paperwork was linked to songwriting. "Publishing" is not just songwriting.
2. It was never stated what songs the paperwork was linked to.
3. The paperwork was stated to have been kept secret from the other bandmates. That, if true, is not only getting fucked over, it is cause for legal action.

I'm cool with people defending Ed by saying that there are two sides of the story, but if you are going to make an argument by making assumptions about what was reported then that is no better.

Furthermore, asking for a lead singer bonus is fine, IF the other bandmates are aware of it. They weren't. That is a large breach of etiquette and enough to split a band. Asking for a "lead singer bonus" is not common practice. Please don't try to tell me that it is unless you've actually been a part of record label, band promotion, or band booking and have seen the contracts that are signed.

Again, it is fine to say there are two sides to every story, but you can't possibly defend him based on what has been reported thus far. To anyone who has been a part of any band, from a garage band of friends to a serious touring act, what has been reported about Ed is completely offensive and quite frankly, sickening.

Didn't Chad Taylor write a whole blog about Ed being his family member and he wouldn't tolerate any negative comments coming his way. Two weeks later, he writes a damning public email release doing the exact thing he told fans not to do?

So either Chad is bi-polar, or maybe, just MAYBE, he didn't know the information that split up the band at the time of the first entry that you referred to. Or, as he wrote himself, he was "in denial."

If you are just going to make up insane speculation then please leave me out of it. If you think that Ed's side of the story, which has not been reported, would clear things up then that is fine. That doesn't require tearing down anyone's credibility just to suit your own needs.

this is very true, Chad should be able to tell the future. The fact he foresaw what Ed did and defended him THEN changed his mind is ridiculous!! Seriously dude, consider timelines of events. Ct isn't an idiot and he'd not write something publicly defending Ed knowing full well of the betrayal only to change his mind later. Doesn't make sense and you must think he's a grade A moron for that to be the truth.

The single "Grace" goes for adds on June 15th.
