I had no idea there was a studio version of Still Aroused!
You have totally made my day, thank you.

This has just about made up for still not being able to hear Photograph and Mall Rat.

It's almost like they cut all the really aggressive rockers except for WFG.

Sparkle rocked guitar.gif Especially towards the end.

What? Have you downloaded the version of Don't Wait from the 1998 TDTH Demos?
http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2124

Sure the tdth demo was great, but the studio recording was given to us long before, but purposely distorted. We should revisit whomever leaked the promo and ask if we can have a better rip!

Yeah it does, I guess the term "darker" was really more of what I was looking for.

I know that's a very broad subjective term, but Voodoo Lady and WFG would fit the bill. Those tracks have the same kind of dark qualities that Don't Wait and Change have.

I've gotta give megaprops to itschris for making this thread. It caused me to revisit the TDTH b-sides, reminding me how kickass this band once was.

While TDTH is often seen by fans as a turning point towards the happier (shittier) Live, that album and its b-sides were still intelligent and not afraid to touch darker subject matter. For me it is one of the best examples of how to handle that kind of subject matter on a rock album.

It had been a long time since I'd really enjoyed listening to Live like this. rockin.gif

Speaking of TDTH, anyone remember watching the webcam (on fol) for the studio recording in 98 when they were making the record in SF/Saulsalito?

I do, but I'd be damned if I can't remember anything that actually happened on it.

I was like 14 then and still new to the internet so I was enjoying... other things.
