I saw that too! Niiiice.

I bet it will be the release date of TGF debut album. And maybe the recordcompany that releases it (or do you think it will be an independant release?)
Maybe along with this anouncement, the release date of a possible first single will be released.

I'm pretty sure it an indie release. I'm betting the shows, it seems early for the album announcement.

no, kevin was kicked from the band and will now be the frontman of live with his former candlebox team joining him. Meanwhile, the gracious few have hired ed to be their new lead vocalist. they are re-recording their debut album as we speak.

Not always, many bands say nothing besides "album news coming soon" and one day there it is.
But indeed, you may also be right, could be tour dates. Either way sooner or later they have to announce it all.
