Track 7 on the sampler is....., Honest Man Options

I don't really like this new clip though I gotta say. This was the song I was most excited about hearing, the old Believe V2.0, I really dug the riff. But this one seems to have tweaked the riff and it just doesnt sound as cool anymore. Hopefully it's just a part of the song and a variant of the original riff we heard which makes up the bigger part of the song.

I don't like it as much either, but for more sonic reasons I suppose. I'm just going to hope it isn't the final mix.

However, as Matthew Good discovered with his last release, this is the problem with letting fans hear early demos and mixes.

I define it this way: if you play the clips for someone who hasn't already decided they love TGF more than life itself, they'll say, "Yep, that was a rock album... from sometime in the last 30 years..." And carry on with their lives, never caring if they hear the rest. It's just nothing new. And like I said, there's nothing bad about that. Doing something that's been done a million times before is a good way to show your roots and inspirations.

I define it by what is generic right now, because well Led Zeppelin pretty much did everything that a rock band can and will every do already. All of us who want to make rock music are fucked from the get go.

On this album, songs like Raimus and Appetite sound little like anything else out at this moment. There also seems to be a large variety of songs and styles throughout the album, which makes it much less generic to me.

I think Ed has given fans a lot of reasons to bash him. Let's run down the list:

-a lot of V and BoP
-SFBM
-the hip hop video
-LOL
-kids on coffee
-pendants
-$175 phone calls
-trying to sound like Daughtry, a guy who once idolized him
-taking half naked pictures of himself

...and all that without even getting into the band break-up saga.
