Are they really millionaires? I wouldn't think so.
And for someone who doesn't care you seem to be going around knocking TGF.
I personally don't go around saying TGF album will be the greatest thing and so on.
I enjoy the clips I've heard and will make an opinion of the album once it sinks in and I hear it a bunch of times.
I will also check out Ed's album but so far the songs he's released really do nothing for me. But there may be some gems on his album too.

For a band that hasn't seen any real success since 2000 I doubt they are all millionaires.

Personally, I don't support a band's music if I think they are complete assholes. Music is too connected to who the people are to be enjoyable if the people are ammoral tools. Unless it's just mass marketed bullshit with no personality, which I would hate anyway.

A track they released for two minutes? Their poses in some promo photos?? What makes them the greatest rawk band ever exactly? Maybe you should actually wait for the album before declaring them the greatest thing ever, eh?

Anyway, I think I've made it plenty clear that I'll be picking up their album and Ed's and I hope both are awesome... but so far, it's all pretty generic... just different kinds of generic. But that's why I don't go around declaring something to be awesome or sucky based on 30 second samples or camera phone recorded YouTube boots...

Where exactly did I say they are the greatest thing ever? I actually quoted a post of yours in another thread and said I will leave my opinion of the album till I hear the disc a few times. I also stated I will give both albums a listen and also gave my thoughts on choosing this generic rock as you call it over Eds generic pop-rock.
We all obviously see that the forum is more or less divided. You clearly have chosen your side. I have chosen mine. And for every person here claiming TGF is the greatest thing (and I'm pretty sure its OuttoDry doing 90% of that and I've begun to cringe myself at his posts) there are others sticking up for da Ek and praising his shit on a stick. At least TGF's stick has more of that good shit on it. Oh.. in my opinion of course.
But don't you go telling me that I should hear the album before I declare somethign that I have not. I've only stated how I enjoy the clips here and there and can't wait to hear the album that I'm very excited about. Hey fuck. Who knows, it might suck. I already have some gripes with Gracey's fills in those clips. Sticking with the snare a bit to much and most of them are kinda similar. and I'm still waiting for him to do some 32nd note fills around the kit. But now I'm starting to ramble about technicalities and music mumbo jumbo. Plus I had much BBQ and beer tonight. Peace out.

Yes, i am the spreader of the TGF gospel. It's because when I didn't care to pick up SFBM the day it was released was the day I knew the Live that I came to love was gone forever.

The clips are great, I hope the finished product is 10X better. I like that genre, actually it's my favorite. Sorry if I take sides, I have my opinion, see what I posted in the other thread. Some of my posts border on the silly because I was trying to drum up some excitement. I stayed off this board (was a visitor for years) as a poster until last year, for a reason. I don't think people would have like what I would say regarding Ed killing the life & soul of Live by not involving the 4 of them in the process. Proof is on the plastic lexan forever. The fact that the other guys decided to scratch their 10 year itch, is fine and dandy by me. I really love Led Zeppelin and old classic rock. It's the blues which progressed to that genre and made it historically significant to everything. And now we've come full circle to a pile of shit for the past 15 years.

I want my Gracious Few and I do expect it to really be good. It's ok for me to drum them up. It's free pub, I don't get anything for it, honest. I am not a plant. My claims are made in humor in order get some discussion going. This board is on fucking prozac sometimes. We need some more sense of humor.

I think that anyone who sees a "rivalry" on these boards is just being uber-dramatic. More or less we are all stating our opinions, and I see all of us posting on threads in both boards. I check out everything Ed does and comment on it as well as I do TGF.

Are a lot of people going to like one album and not the other? Sure, and that's perfectly fine. No one should be attacking anyone for doing that, and I don't think they are.

Dude, holy shit...all of the "Intimate & Interactive" videos are up...how the hell did I not find these earlier? Any true Live fan, in my opinion, knows that this is when Live was at the top of their game. The intensity is mind-blowing. I know life moves on, but GOD DAMN...
