My wife was complaining and asking why I still check that Live website when they're not even a band and I was telling her that there's actually a lot going on since there are actually going to be 2 albums released this year by Ed and TGF. Eventually the conversation got to:

"Really - you're going to support the guy who was a jerk and asked his friends for a lead singers fee, stabbed his group in the back, and wrecked your favorite band?"

Good Point - With all the exciting news sometimes you lose perspective on how it all started.

You are taking one side of the story as gospel. Online behavior shows that The Gracious Few have been less than "gracious" in a number of circumstances. I think there was fault on both sides of the fence when it comes to Live's demise.

Over-touring didn't help either.

TGF being "less than gracious" toward Ed actually supports the story they provided.

Is there another side of the story? Of course there is. Has Ed bothered to reveal any of it? Nope. Until then, it is fine to take Chad's notes as "gospel" because he provided a great deal of plausible detail and in any legal battle it would be less than smart to make up details like that.

You don't have to believe Chad, but it's more than okay to do so because he is the only one to provide any tangible information.

Nicks right, if Ed stabbed his friends in the back how DARE Chad, Chad and pat speak illy of him! Having a public reaction to your best friend ruining your friendship is not on! Him cheating them out of money is one thing, that's understandable, but calling his live show a lounge act? That's just going too far.

I think the proof will be in the music. Look folks its differences in direction. End of story.

TGF have also been less than Gracious against fans who speak out against them. Criticism is a part of being in a public forum. Getting into online arguments with fans is counter-productive to building a fanbase.

Um no. It proves nothing either way.

And wouldn't even less smart for Ed to comment?

Actually he hasn't. He's made a bunch of allegations but allegations are just words. When he products actual documents *that's* tangible proof.

I didn't say it "proved" anything, I just said that it matched up with the explanation they provided.

It wouldn't be smart for Ed to say anything either way, but he has given no explanation for the band break-up. The only explanation out there is the one provided by TGF. If that sits well with you, fine, but his lack of acknowledgment bothers me.

In modern day internet culture, an artist getting into discussions (and sometimes arguments) with fans (and non-fans) is actually pretty common. Being up front with fans (and non-fans) is the way of the business now.

I think it's pretty safe to say Ed has already lost most if not all of his fans.

TGF will easily outdo Ed and his silly solo act.

The fact that Ed outright said "we're good" on national tv is a lie. He could have said they were working thru issues or whatever but he didn't. Also like it's been said, Chad would have to be a moron to say everything he's said in a public forum if it wernt true. He doesn't come off as a stupid person to me.

Nick, you are a little off on this. The woman writes that the TGF nothing to do with Live, (false) 3 members, who own the name, the rights, and apparently, own the email lists.

Woman complains that they hijacked the Live email to send here TGF info., Again the tell her the truth that Ed stole their email list.....interesting info there.

Add in the coffee, the pendants and fort knox phone call and well...I think you get the idea. I think they were at ease with their witty response to the woman.

Woman sounded like she was off her meds anyway. She doesn't know jack squat!!
