QUOTE(Badman @ Mar 30 2010, 2:34 pm) *

I've never heard of The great beyond, just in time, or in your light... what did I miss?

No one did. That's why I put a link in my post, to show where they came from.

I don't think Ed would put Forever of Purifier recorded together with a new band on his album. Because, why not re-recording Throwing Copper as a whole then, and put it at his album as a bonus-disc? no.gif I'm quite sure he wants to make a new original album, without recording songs he already released with Live. No one would like new versions of it.

Btw, @ Nick: I don't think so either. But I wouldnt be surprised if some parts of the song (musically or lyrically) will end up on the album in some way.

Alive?

Fits the "meh" nature of the song titles.

Alive. Hmmm... yeah, forgettable, predictable, but completely fine.

Yeah, it doesn't pack any punch. It's just kind of "there" if you know what I mean.

At least he didn't name it Hang Cool Teddy Bear. Now there is a bizarre and pointless BUT unforgettable title.

here's some lyrics..............ed should consider...........he'd have to get permission first.

What shall we use to fill the empty
Spaces where we used to talk
How shall I fill the final places
How shall I complete the wall

Now THAT I would actually be interested in. Also, an album of DWLF type songs would be interesting as well. Everything about this project so far just seems so mediocre and designed for mass appeal.

Not that I expected anything more.

Hmmm... I thought he only played 6 new songs at that show. I guess maybe he played 7. I seriously doubt that we will ever see Dirty Water Lotus Flower again. I think that was something he was just playing around with. The other titles sound right though. We know that there will be 12 tracks and that is 7 right there and we have heard 4 of them so far. "The Great Beyond" sound intriuging. That should have been the album title as well. Much better than Alive. Also, there still could be a song on the album called Alive as well. I know LIVE never did that but who knows what Ed may want to do. I also doubt we will see Forever or Purifier on there. Those were LIVE songs. Dont even think he could do that if he wanted to unless that secret publishing thing he made allowed him too but really why would he do that? I think he has plenty of songs to release that are his. Now Believe maybe. He did write the lyrics to that songs so we may see a new version of it. I hope so cause I really want to hear a studio version of that song!

The great beyond is just going to be some happy song about "Heaven". That's quite predictable, IMO.

I dunno, a play on words? Don't think I would have used it. Should have moved away from the 'live' bit.

It is a solid marketing decision. It'll help him sell albums.

That's what it is all about right?

FRC, yes it will be for some. i know that TGF's main concern wont be selling albums....but the music. I feel the record will fly of the shelves anyway.

I made a bet to some that I will buy 10 copies. I'll stand by that.
