Teatro La Fiesta @ Hotel Jaragua
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Interesting, wonder why he is playing in the DR. Big fan base? He knows someone? Need to stock up on Cigars?

I might actually be able to go to this show! My company has a facility about an hour outside of Santo Domingo, I actually just got back from there last night.

The ticketing link in Eddie's email is broken, but here is a link to the article announcing the show: http://www.uepa.com/new_article.aspx?id=24304 Here is the translate.google.com translation of the article. It says tickets are on sale, but I couldn't find a link to buy them.

Someone on Facebook who attended the gig said he played:
Selling the Drama
Pain Lies on the Riverside
Beauty of Gray
Operation Spirit
I Alone
The Dolphin's Cry
All Over You
Lightning Crashes
Heaven
Lakini's Juice
He wasn't sure of other songs, but I'm guessing Grace and a couple of new ones had to be there.

Apparently he did play some new stuff. From twitter: "Awsome concert Ed. The band was crisp and powerfull. Really enjoyed the new songs! (Grace was excellent!)"

I think Ed mentioned a few days ago they rehearsed a 16 song set.

Ed's new band live in action........

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRYW0o8VG7I

Ed must feel somewhat feel unconfortable to perform these songs without the guys he created them with. There is a familiar stage on the stage on the right tho wink.gif

Ohw, and I miss the stomps of the guitarist!!

yeah, WTF? Why did they play this song with 4 guitars? I know as I'm in a band myself that 2 guitars can make a real full sound. You reguarly see bands play with 2 guitarists + an extra addional guitar (the singer plays it). This can be usefull when you really wanna let it sound like on cd (on studio tracks often 3 guitar layers are used). But 4? Why? And why the hell with this song? And if you use 4 guitars, don't play all the same. It rocked tho smile.gif

They had special guests from the Dominican Republic joining them for certain songs last night, that is why you had the extra guitar. I actually never knew that Live had such a devout following in the DR. They were singing along to the Beauty of Gray, very cool!

I can't wait for the US tour!
